TDP split over the Telangana issue

THE RESIGNATION of senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader T Devender
Goud from the primary membership of the party and also to the Andhra
Pradesh (AP) Legislative Assembly seems to be a major jolt to the main
opposition party TDP in the state and also the ruling Congress party,
which has been avoiding taking a stand on creation of Telangana state.
Now these two parties may be forced to take a clear stand on the
statehood issue.

The second-in-command in the
party, Goud sent his resignation letter to the party president N
Chadnrababu Naidu on Monday (June 23) giving speculation that he would
float a new political party by brining all the forces, which have been
seeking statehood for Telangana. He is also aiming for a split in
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), the party which was formed with a
single point agenda of forming new state.

Ban on display of religious pictures & prayers in Govt. schools

Ratnagiri: The Commissioner of Integrated Children’s
Growth Service Plan has recently issued an order to the effect that no
religious picture or poster would be displayed in any of the
Angan-wadis and Baal- wadis run by the Government and barring the
‘National Oath’, no prayers should be recited in the schools. (Such
order is against the freedom conferred by the Constitution to follow
any religion. The order has also been implemented only in the
angan-wadis and bal-wadis where Hindu students are studying. Will the
Congress Government dare to issue such order in Madarassas? Hindus must
realize the plan of anti-Hindu Govt. to eliminate Hindu Dharma and
teach a lesson to the Congress-led Govt. in the next elections – Editor)
This order has enraged everyone.
