LET THE NATION RISE

Looking at the bye gone sixty years
While India was ruled by our own men
The nation has been brought down by them into gutters
When they have made the country as their mischief den

While leaders wash dirty linen in public
Glorious years have been left into wild
National progress is as cold as an iceberg
And the country is thrown off by the political guild

Poor Gandhi and others who gave us freedom
Must be surely cursing in despair
Criminals and thugs contest the elections
While constitution is amended and is beyond repair

Dynastic rules are the order of the day
As kin only succeed the leaders
Morals are in the books for one’s dismay
While the rulers are raising corruption breeders

Political parties are found in large numbers
Where al are busy for grabbing the power
No party is free from criminals and gangsters

A SORRY STATE

There was a time when others looked at India
A land of peace sculpture and wisdom
With in a span of thousand years that passed
People have lost their intellectual freedom

Ancient Vedas and scriptures that inspired us
Now are thrown into a basket of dust
Crazy guys now running after western culture
Are only busy in meeting their ever increasing lust

Good old leaders have vanished into history pages
While thugs and criminals are making to the top
India that was once hailed as land of sages
Now has slipped down the slops without a stop

Shame on pour rulers who have brought us to this pass
Where fathers and mothers are busy elevating their sons and kin
Foolish Indians are carried away by slogans and posters
Then vote for the crooks and commit greatest sin

Precious wealth has been looted in many scams
Culprits roam free without fear and remorse
