The last bomb blast was reported at about 7.35 pm and the Sangh swayamsevaks reached Swai Mansingh Hospital at 8.00 pm in a good number. The dead bodies of the victims and the injured persons had started reaching there by then. The aggrieved relatives of the victims also reached the hospital in a large number. Soon after reaching there, the swayamsevaks took over the responsibility of looking after the injured persons in Emergency Ward and also consoling their relatives.

There was no one with several injured persons. The swayamsevaks looked after them and also assured that they need not worry, everything would be all right. They looked after such victims in different wards also as some victims had been shifted there after providing necessary treatment.

The saffron Karnataka wears is aglow with the sacrifices of the anonymous workers who lived with a reason, for a cause. Who sowed saffron in Karnataka's soil – like Yadav Rao Joshi, H V Seshadri, Suryanarain Rao, often going to sleep on an empty stomach but worked day and night to spread the message of a strong nationalism, motherland first and foremost. Everything else was secondary.

When Seshadri breathed his last, he was listening to the Sangh prayer – namaste sada vatsale matribhume (Salutations to thee, O beloved motherland...) But Vidhan Saudha was never on their radar of achievements. Their mission was and remains a total transformation of society into a proud, strong, self-reliant, knowledge reservoir with character which would lead Bharat, which is India, into the highest ranks of the comity of nations. RSS chief against activists opting for 'MISA pension' offered by Raje

JAIPUR: Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS) has asked those of its workers who were arrested under Maintenance of Security Act (MISA) during the emergency from 1975 to 1977, not to accept the pension being offered by the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government in the state. The scheme offering pension and medical assistance to MISA detainees was announced by the state government on Friday. "Erstwhile Jan Sangh and RSS workers, who were jailed for their opposition to the emergency, are disciplined workers, and accepting the pension would be like asking for money in lieu of what you did for your motherland," RSS chief Suresh Kumar said. His organisation would issue a formal directive to its members for not accepting the pension. Former BJP MLA Nawalrai Vachchhani, who was also jailed under MISA, is too against the RSS workers opting for the pension. However, Thanwardas, an RSS worker from Ajmer, said though the pension should not be taken, but medical assistance should be accepted.
