Honorary degrees are awarded to those who matter
They compete in this murky business enmasse
The standards in education dwindle day by day
While colleges send out thousands that are as good as an ass

Few states in India prohibit liquor
However they failed to control corruption
Men are denied barest minimum succor
While officials swindle with great dedication

Some cranks are after prohibition
Who have nothing to do except to get recognition
Liquor is found to flow in roadside gutters
However government has failed to curb prostitution

People in India elect bunch of swindlers
Our parties are flooded with such strength
Indian masses remain as roadside asses
As national leaders are hoarding abroad their wealth

Five years plans have remained great gimmicks
Where people have gone for a long ride
Those at top are busy promoting their kin
And police are busy killing militants on roadside

Indian leaders have mastered the art of scams
They rule the land holding a lance
Poor Indians have been fooled for decades
Who are in the state of shock and trance

Crores of funds are swindled by the wolves
Those in need go naked and starved
One can only pray to the God
While the honest from power are always barred

Animal fodder are the source of scam
Where officers and leaders steal Oh dear
A chicken is shown eating thousands of rupees an year
A the crooks go around to rule without any fear

Pigs and cows are shown travelling in air conditioned coaches
While officers have made money without any fear
Innocent Indians are fooled to the hilt
While court trials go on for never ending years

Coastal states are ravaged by great storms
Where thousands become homeless and also get killed
Political parties make hue and cry for relief
Who later swindle the money at which they are skilled
