LET THE NATION RISE

Looking at the bye gone sixty years
While India was ruled by our own men
The nation has been brought down by them into gutters
When they have made the country as their mischief den

While leaders wash dirty linen in public
Glorious years have been left into wild
National progress is as cold as an iceberg
And the country is thrown off by the political guild

Poor Gandhi and others who gave us freedom
Must be surely cursing in despair
Criminals and thugs contest the elections
While constitution is amended and is beyond repair

Dynastic rules are the order of the day
As kin only succeed the leaders
Morals are in the books for one’s dismay
While the rulers are raising corruption breeders

Political parties are found in large numbers
Where al are busy for grabbing the power
No party is free from criminals and gangsters
While the nation is thrown off the ivory tower

The English men have left us to our miserable fate
Having given us a good administrative system
Country could have been blown off at faster rate
The leaders the way they handled as their fiefdom

The present rulers display no ethics and morals
Whose main is to hold power and swindle
They have failed to achieve Bapus goals
While moral fabric in country has already crumbled

Tonnes of money are swindled by our leaders
Who shamelessly occupy the executive posts
Yet they preach morals to the youngsters
While they enjoy at five star hotels over a toast

Shame on the guys who brought nation todays pass
As the nation is down in the eyes of world around
Let us all rise and throw out them enmasse
And restore the glory to the top of the mound

Cheats and scamsters are given official berths
Only with aim of holding the flock
These nuts and rustics then preach morals
While country’s progress follows a reverse clock

Highest executive of nation plays only a balancing act
While he dances as a doll with a remote key
The guy is utterly powerless and clueless in his role
While his actions are controlled from a distant tree
