Crazy Indians are after the awards

Creepy they behave like house gecko lizards

Funniest guys are found in the awards list

Entire thing is covered in a thick dusty mist

Meritorious guys are dumped in a dust bin

While shady souls are found to brightly grin

Guys in uniform do balancing act

They manage the awards that is a life’s sad fact

Once I saw the list on republic day

Early in the morning when donkeys loudly bray

Commercial singers are given the highest awards

While deserving guys struggle in a hospital ward

The singers who perform  for few shining coppers

Are found to be the list’s toppers

The title Indian gem is bestowed on them

As deserving were swallowing their own sticky flum

Entire drama of award is a suspect

And these awards have already lost public respect

Tom Dick and Harry are all in this  mad and dirty race and run

While the entire nation watches this idiotic fun

The nation suddenly remembered Subhas and Patel

Their photos are seen no more on walls of  roadside hotels

Patel and subhas were also crowned as the Indian Gems

While entire process was infected with dirty germs
