Many are surprised by the “lack of wisdom” of the BJP in choosing its next President. Many have blamed Raj Nath Singh for the failure of BJP in the last parliamentary elections. Both groups are wrong. Indian electorate has limited understanding of the history of India, and its political and socio economic realities. Poor judgment by national leaders in trusting Nehru’s personal integrity and his commitment to the Indian democracy is the first reason for this tragedy. We cannot ignore the fact that Nehru systematically made it a priority to control, guide and direct Indian National Congress and the nation into making it an empire for his descendents. His daughter and grandson did nothing better to change the situation. On top of it are the sycophants whose absolute subservience to the leadership which made the Congress Party anti people.

"Group of concerned citizens" interfering with judicial and law enforcement matters

India is a complex society. Integrating that society is not an easy task. Public opinion has a definite role in integrating social behavior. Media also has a role and responsibility in this context. Judiciary and law enforcement agencies have a superior role, because they have knowledge and experience in matters related to social conditions, social transformation, individual behavior of people and group behavior of individuals in the society. Societies with common objective, in which individuals and groups with definite knowledge in their allotted fields perform their role, function without conflict.

Taliban, Pakistan and India

I read Dr. Rao’s thought provoking essay on Pakistan and its self created trap. I would like to add my thoughts and some related statistics.

Systematic attack against Hinduism must be stopped

In the name of secularism, governments both at the center and in states are discriminating Hindus. On the one hand government confiscates temple collections and distributes to help Muslim and Christian causes. On the other, the government is pampering minorities by way of various appeasement programs at the expense of the majority population. We must find ways to stop government discrimination against our lives and faith in the name of secularism. People can not control governments’ action except by stopping donation to temples, which will in turn hurt Hindu causes. Hindus don’t have right to protect Muslim and Christian influences spreading around temples or disallowing illegal business activity like slaughtering or selling meat in temple premises. However, Hindus rarely participate in any business activity in and around Churches and mosques or distribute literature in those premises.

Fight against illegal conversion

Anti social elements take advantage of the fact that one cannot prove that “conversions were done using force, cheating, undue influence, fraud or allurement of financial considerations. In all such cases, it is a criminal offence. There is no follow up procedure to punish law breakers and political parties refuse to act on it because of their attitude to minority appeasement.

Native half breeds who follow alien philosophy and customs are always jealous and hateful

Saugato Banerjee’s writings show that he has a perfect understanding of the social, cultural, religious and political future of India. His knowledge of the demographic history of India and his forecast of the future demographic characteristics is accurate except with slight difference. My conclusion is that his forecast is a fait accompli. I can cite several reasons for that conclusion.

Historically

We have not understood much about the Harappa and Indus Valley civilizations. We also have recently heard about the Saraswati valley civilization. However, its time frame is not clear. However it cannot be older than 7000 years because that is the time frame of the earliest signs of human settlement found in the Indian sub continent. From 500 BC, as seen from the tax records of Darius, the Persian Emperor, Gandhara has been identified as part of the Persian territory. Around this time, Gandhara and Khambhoja were mentioned as part of “Uttarapada.” During the days of Maurya and of Emperor Ashoka, there was extended territory which included part of the current Pakistan. Some people claim that Chandragupta had conquered even “Arabasthan,” but is there historic evidence of it? In the history we read about sixteen “Janpads” in the north and numerous smaller countries in the “Dakshin Khand.”
