Indian democratic system is an ideal system for honest and competent people get killed and for dishonest and incompetent people to get promoted to positions of power and influence. Indian political parties, government, political leaders, bureaucrats, academicians, diplomats, journalists, media, Indian movies, sports and you name it, are contributing to the destruction of Indian democracy as definitely as the planets revolve in the Solar System. The tragic death of one of the top officers who overseas security in Jammu & Kashmir, recurring terrorist violence against India in its own soil, Indian diplomats issuing visa to terrorists at their discretion, regional leaders promoting sons of the soil theory to enrich themselves, political leaders creating dynasties and carving out constituencies for their successive generations, government appeasing minorities and suppressing the majority, the fact that the CPI (M) supports Chinese stand on its claims on Indian territory, RSS leader handpicking the next BJP President, the fact that the minorities in India actively create favorable conditions and never condemned “Jihadi” violence against India, the Defense Minister’s statement that India is planning to create an “asymmetric” defense strategy while most of the defense establishments are failing in performance, naming of the new stadium in New Delhi after Jawaharlal Nehru as if he was the “Brahma” of India, his incompetent great grandson crisscrossing the country with a leadership mantle hanging over him, the manner in which the Congress party has managed to create a super royalty in the guise of “High Command,” etc. are a few examples to support the above statement. I can fill this page with examples, but I know that one gets sick and tired of reading about something one is aware of and accustomed to.
