Varna system verses Caste system! Do you Agree?
Caste system will end that day when children of so called Brahmins will
refuse to consider themselves Brahmins because Brahmin is a word used
for that person who has left everything for the sake of God. Saints,
Rishis and spiritual people of every religion are Brahmins.
Fora Brahmin nothing is more important in his life than the supreme
knowledge of Brahman. Valimiki and other saints and rishis of Hinduism
are the sons and daughters of the so called lower caste parents but
they are considered Brahmins.
Similarly Caste system will endwhen Dalits (shudras) will rise and demand their rights aggresively. If any amongthem has the "knowledge of Brahman" as a goal of his life then he is a
Brahmin....this so called dalit is a true Brahmin and not like hollow
spiritialess childern of so called Brahmins who call themselve Brahmins.
These are the high end spiritual terms which with the passage of time are converted into boundaries dividing society and their corrupted meaning is needed to be crushed now.
Spiritually everyone has his own Varna depending upon his nature.
example:
Ifa child wants to join military like Subhash chander bose...his varna is Kshtriya.
Ifa child wants to do social service or things to entertain society like
music and Drama like Lata mangeshker...his varna is Shudra.
If a child is interested in spirituality and serching God is his main interest like Buddha his varna is Brahmin.
If a child wants to become a successful Business man like Bill gates...he is automatically Vashya.
All varnas are equal in importance and no society can live long even one is missing. It only depends on nature and NOT on birth.
The difference between meaning of actual Varna System and applied corrupted Caste
system is biggest challenge of Hindu society. In terms of corrupted defination
we call some people Dalits just because of work they do...we dont even
think that base of our relgion is created by same so called Dalits. Our
great Rishis according to this corrupted defination are also Dalits.
Although I personally do not believe in CORRUPTED caste system, I am including the caste of these great souls only to make the point.

SO-CALLED SCs AND STs ARE BEING PLAYED AROUND LIKE PUPPETS BY POLITICIANS. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN THEY DEMAND RESERVATION, THEY PROMOTE CASTEISM. RESERVATION DESTROYS THE MAN, IT DOES NOT GIVE THEM EQUAL STATUS AND SELF-RESPECT. MERIT ALONE TAKES YOU FORWARD.
CAN ANYONE DARE TO CALL CHIEF JUSTICE OF SUPREME COURT JUSTICE KG BALAKRISHNAN AS A SC / DALIT JUDGE ? IS IT THAT RESERVATION MADE Dr. AMBEDKER WHAT HE WAS ? REAL ISSUE IS DENIAL OF RESOURCES AND EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITIES. ANYWAY, THE ISSUE IS VERY COMPLEX, CANNOT BE THRASHED OUT JUST LIKE THAT.

How Brutal and how shameful is the caste system..True..really true..The Hindu UK council writer so much so endorses caste system coz in his village the sons of the barber would remain as barbers and give them a free hair cut.could you ever imagine how much would a barber's or a laundry man's sons would long for higher studies..Just because this guy happens to be in the so called high caste doesn't mean your claim could be right..after so much pain and agony today even in this guys village both barber's son and carpenter's son could be IT Professionals,doctors or even Astronauts..truly sky is the limit..India's so called priestly class never wanted this to happen..dominating others had been their itch for so many centuries..even today we could see the broken self-image of so many dalits..do we expect them to travel in flights or have a globetrotting career which so many upper caste students have secured..painfully when this dalits are just inching slowly in with better lifestyles, the priestly class doesn't want that to happen as the dalits would no more pay obeisance to them.How would you expect dalits to respect when you had chained them under caste system for centuries.I have personally seen people not even having a glass of water from lower caste peoples houses.And there is a much polished word for this,that is called being orthodox..How much would this hurt lower caste people..but somehow when these dalits are being enlightened that also is not being allowed..Only heaven can answer why such emotional pain and Isolation Harijans have gone through in this land of India

Original writer this blog, the Hindu Council UK and the next commenter is shear ignorant to the problem of caste, varnas. They are not aware of how brutal is caste and varna. If you study really and think logically, you will arrive at point that Varna is base for caste system. Here, the statement by commenter that "The caste problem in india is only because of politicians and reservations.." shows that how much he his reading, knowledge is!!! How much ignorant he is!!!
Dear, read, understand, observe , Become illegible to comment on topics and then comment. 99% indian population is like that only. They will never read, never understand, never try to see through but will comment on the subject as if they have taken Ph.D. in the subject!..

Hindu Council UK, has undergone a study recently, on how different casts exist in london.. IT founded, that most of the castes are endogamous, follow their caste indentity.. but the surprising thing is that all castes remain peaceful in a fair constitutional environment..
The caste problem in india is only because of politicians and reservations..
The very core problem of indian caste system is in the mis-understanding.. rather i should say mis-representation by the britishers, most probably in willful manner..
If you see, every caste or let me say Jaati in india, serves the society.. a brahmin's duty is towards this society.. a vellalar's culture and life is aligned to serve the remaining society..
In my living memory, the village society in 80's in my village is very peaceful.. i belong to vellalars, and i remembers, for every harvest season (pongal season during january), my parents give around 60 kgs of paddy to barbers, pot makers, teacher family, aasaaris (carpenters), blacksmith, and to other sections which i dont remember..
The wages during harvest season is in terms of the produce..
later when i started enquiring about this process, my father told, its a age old practice followed till his time.. and on further analysis, i found that this is a practice followed by all vellalar families..
This setup is an arrangement by our forefathers, where different section of people, gets benefitted, by inter-dependance..
The teacher family imparts education to the children, and the people support them through their shares..
The barber family do not charge any fees for hair cut.. rather, they get annual share of the produce from vellalars..
The rituals of the vellalars is incomplete without the presence of barber, who conducts all rituals from birth to puberty to death..
The marriage rituals of every vellalar is arranged that all sections from pot maker to leather worker to aasaris, all are given due accordance..

So, the caste system is not a bad system as propogated by marxists.. what we are seeing are degraded system of the present, blown up by vested interests.. the pre-british indian society is based on caste system.. and the brahmins were the integrating point of all sections of the society.. (Now you will know why brahmins were targetted and driven out)..
Next coming to varna system, the varna is different from caste.. varna is classification of people based on social requirements.. each varna consists of numerous castes..
So, never feel ashamed of your caste.. because, none of our caste went and persecuted the other castes, like the christians do to their own bretheren of alternate sect..
In our caste system, everyone's belief is guaranteed.. its this caste system, that shaped the tolerance of the hinduism.. its the caste system that accepted jews, parsis, even muslims and christians..
Its this caste system, that enabled numerous sects to maintain their culture unaffected for thousands of years..
All these are possible, because, there is no point of conversion in caste system..

I was born in a brahmin family but I dont consider myself as brahmin as I am currently not doing anything which makes me brahmin.
