It is so evident that your ideas are evolved either out of your lack of knowledge about Islam, or you have some vested interest. I believe it's not the latter one that prompted you for this.
I don't think you need more explanation for your doubts. It's been clearly explained, and I'm no good to explain it by my knowledge. I need to call your attention to something else..

When you go through the whole blog, do you feel any difference in the way you spoke and your Muslim brothers responded? You diplomatically started your blog as if you are a patron of Islam, and is unfortunately not able to follow Islam because of those 12 doubts. (Fortunately Allah has provided you with enough number of people to clear your doubts. Thank god) At the end of your blog, you yourself has become FANATIC and BIGOTRY, those same words you used to address Muslims. See, how many people responded to your blog have addressed you or any Hindu brother this way? You should actually see the patience they took in answering your questions. That is called 'Deenul Islam'. It's a way of living life. Not an experiment of a set of rituals. My 23 years of life is good enough for me to tell you this.
The way you quoted some verses from the Holy Quran is really gerrymandering, the same way that the terrorists use it to attract the youth towards their interest. I request you to quote something only after going through its context. It might sound an entirely different thing then, especially Quranic verses.

May be there are some muslims here who try to defend islam, but they may sometimes give you wrong answer , because of their limited knowledge.

Sir your thoughts are appreciated, but to understand ALLAH you would need more then the intent with which you have started. We are all born muslims but later on divert to what we think is a religion given by our forefathers. For once stop and reflect on whats truly right and wrong and Insha Allah you and your organization will indeed one day come to the right path.Satan misguides us all the time and I could easily see from your mail but no problem Allah helps those who seriuosly want to be helped. Answer for your Questions.

First of all, I appreciate the effort 'Sangh Parivar' have taken to publish this blog. It is a good effort because discussions might bring people closer and thus solve our problems.

Secondly I appreciate the attempt of the author. To think about 'faith matters' is very rare in this big world of ours. And the thought which would have gone behind these 12 questions is certainly to be apprecited. There was a lot of reasoning and logical thinking in it.

Before going into the answers, I must apologize for being brief in most of the answers, because I am in a hurry. I know that author of the blog and I are standing on very different understandings of Islam. So my very breif answers might still keep a lot of gaps unclosed. So, if any further questions, I'm open.

Straight to the answers:

Answer to Question1.

Quran doesn't ask performers of Hajj to throw stones at Shaithwan or an idol of Shaithwan. Do you think whatever Muslims do, they are following directions of Quran? If it was so, how good the world would have been?

These rituals are part of the Hadeeth based Religious-Islam. The 'Religion of Islam' which is prominent in the world now was created by a group of priests (Brahmins of Islam) in post islamic Arabia (during 662 AD to around 900 AD) under the support and inspiration of the then rulers of Arabia (Umayyad Dynasty and Abbasiya Dynasty - The Kshathriyas of Islam).

All religions in the world were build by priests with the aid of then rulers. The purpose being two things. One, to exploit the sympathies and reverence of the people towards a great soul (who lived in the recent past) and thus sustain the power of the ruler. Second, to divert the energy and attention of the people towards rituals and festivals, and away from the bad governernance and extravagance of the rulers.

Todays Religion-of-Islam was built by then rulers of Arabia for the same purpose. That is why it is full of rituals. Christianity was built by the Church (begining with St.Paul and St.Peter) 300 years after the death of Jesus, with the support of Emperor Constantine of Rome to expliot the name of Jesus. Hinduism was built by priests under the support of then rulers of India to expoit the reverence towards icons like Sri-Ram and other great souls. Remember that Ram never claims God-ship in Valmiki's Ramayana. But he is certainly depicted as God or Incarnation of God in the later scripts, and only in the later scripts.

Answer to Question 2.

When this practice is not at all from Quran I dont think further questions on this are relavant.

Answer to Question 3.

Quran doesn't say that Muhammad will intercept or intercede for people in the Judgement day. That imagery of Muhammad sitting next to the God as a intercepter on Judgement day is not from Quran. Has nothing to do with Islam.

Answer to Question 4.

Can God be different for Different people on earth?

No. If there is god, there could be only one.

Or can God reward some killer just because he happens to have a name belonging to particular geography on earth and punish the good person who doesnt worship God or worship him in different ways than prescribe in a particular book??

Absolutely not. Did you find any such verse in the Quran?

Islam is not about worshipping God in a particular way. (Quran itself says that different communities have different rituals). Islam is not at all about worshipping God. Islam is about living in this world for an ideology, for justice, for social justice.

Answer to Question 5.

The term Shaithwan in Quran doesn't point to a kind of creature which has the ability to influence people like a ghost. The term Shaithwan in quran means 'the negative emotions of human beings'. The imagery of Shaithan as an organism or evil spirit follows from Christianity which had great influence in Arabia after Muhammad's death, during when Hadeeth and the present day Islam-Religion took its shape.

Answer to Question 6.

This follows from a very popular misconception. Read that part of the quran once again. Quran asks to levy Jizya if a community disagrees to subdue to the 'Deen' of Islam, not to the 'faith' of Islam. Quran gives all the citizens the freedom to follow the faith they like. But wants to establish the 'system' (that is Deen) of Islam in the society. This system is the social order.

To make it easy to understand, it is what we mean when we say that "The 'system' is wrong" for example when we talk about corruption in politics or in govt offices. Yes Quran wants the 'system' to be right (Islamic), but the faith is everybody's privileage. And if a community under Islamic governance disagrees to obey law which are made to bringabout social justice, and if they collectively demand this right to disobey a certain set of laws under their special priveage as a minority community, then they shall have that right to desist but have to pay a penalty - and that penalty is Jizya.

Putting it straight: Jizya is the penalty a minority community have to pay to an Islamic government to disobey a law, which the community believes is against their minority rights.

Note that this is not the way to act with an unjust law. If the law is unjust or immoral they should fight against it.

And it is not the penalty to keep ones faith. Freedom of faith is guaranteed in Islam. No penalty for it. It is a right.

Answer to Question 7.

Quran is not a book to teach people how to worship God. Why should at all anyone worship God?

The word 'Ibaadath' is been mistranslated as 'to worship'. The word means 'to obey'. When Quran says "Do ibaadath only to God", it doesn't mean "Worship only God"; but it means "Obey only God".

A practical example: A Police inspector takes a Goonda into custody. Phone comes from his senior officer to release the Goonda and not to register the arrest. If the Inspect obeys his officer, he will disobey God (and hence will lose his after life) but everything else will be alright. If he disobeys the officer and goes ahead with the case he will be transferred to a not-so-easy place or might get suspended, but will win his after life.

This is what 'Ibaadath is about' - Whom do you obey and see as master after all? The God or money or you senior officer.

But yes, since we might get evidence that, after all, there is God, it doesn't matter if we worship God in someway. Quran allows that. And Quran also does allow multiple ways of worshiping God.

But we have no evidence that there are more that one god? Do we have? So Quran doesn't deem right worshiping multiple Gods.

Also when it is the truth that God doesn't have a shape, Quran does stand on the side of truth.

If you have evidence that God has the shape of a human, but with more number of heads and hands, then go ahead, worship that shape. But remember that you should have evidence to show the God why you believed thus after your death. If you dont believe that you would have to see the the God after your death, then these are not at all issues; people can just do what ever they like. So the question is do you really belive that God exists?

Answer to Question 8.

There are still verses in Quran which I am yet not able to really understand. This is one of such verses. But I cannot thow away Quran just because it has some such verses. Because there are other evidences pointing to its divinity. So I shall just continue my research on these verses.

Answer to Question 9.

It is the way Quran speaks about human nature. In these places god speaks in first person and says that god does this or does that. We would able to understand the meaning if we look from the other side. This is actually a typical literary style in Arabic literature.

The meaning of the referred verse(s) is: Nonbelievers have a tendency to put a seal on their own thought/sense when they start defending their own faith and to oppose another faith. so when we defend out faith against another faith we tend to inhibit our faculty of reasoning ourselves. This is a human nature. This is what God says here, putting God as the first person. Because, this reluctance of the defender to a foreign idea is not just in his control when he defends.

Answer to Question 10.

If Quran claims to be a clear message for believers than how come so many sects of Muslims are there?

If they have to understand the clear message, they have to read it atleast once in life. Isn't it. Take 10 muslim friends of yours. Ask how many have read Quran at least once (Not the arabic one, a translation in a language which they could understand) and you will get the answer. And there are a few who might read the Quran but almost all of them fall into the traditional understanding of it which the community enforces through its educational system of madrassas. And each becomes tied to one particular sect by birth.

So, again. They will understand, if they read. But they do no read. That is the problem.

If Quran is clear in message than what is the meaning of "Alif Lam Mim" which appears in several verses.

As I have said earlier, there are several verses which are yet to be understood. This Alif-Lam-Mim is one of them. It could be some word in arabic which have ceased to be in prominent usage (remember it is 1400 years old). Or it could be a kind of rythm (like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa) in which the Chapter has to be read. Or it even could have been added later, ie not part of original Quran. And there are other possibilities too. We'll have to find out.

Answer to Question 11.

Quran is not particularly speaking here about revelation previous to Quran, but reveleations within the Quran itself.

There are verses in the Quran which were revealed at an earlier stage of building the Islamic society, which later became irrelevant because of a change of situation, and because new laws have been revealed for the newer situation.

For example:

Alchohol was banned not at-once, but in three stages. This was necessary because, a spontaneous ban wont succeed.

In the first stage, Alchohol was not banned, but certain important activities were banned while drunk.

A verse revealed then says that one should not perform prayer while drunk.

Later when alchohol was fully banned, this verse became obsolete.

But this verse (and verses like this) are not actually obsolete. They do convey a message.

These verses tell us that ideals of the ideal society was not all implemented at once and spontaneously. But they were implemented in stages in a practical scheme and in a planned manner. These verses are still there in the Quran to tell us that Islam is not a Utopian idea, and that when it was last implemented, it was done with a very practical and systematic plan.

Answer to Question 12.

If we remain 'non-existant' ie our physical existance and consciousness of soul fully switched off, how will it be an injustice? You might be thinking in terms of a Hindu belief of the wandering soul. No, when we die, we cease to exist. There is no wandering soul impatiently waiting to be resurrected for millions of years.

There are no fairy tales in Quran. God has created no religons and has taught no fairy tales.

Muslim community does have their own collection of fantastic fairy tales. They did not get it from Quran. They generated them out of their own imagination, like how all other communities did for themselves.

So throw away all those fairy tales and come to the truth. Truth verified by the method of science.

First question: regarding stoning shaytan, who said muslims stoning shaytan during haj, infact there is not single word of shaytaan and stoning regarding this act from saying of our prophet sallallahu alaihissallam in sahih ahadith ,not other any tom dick & harry writing about stoning shaytaan. actual name of this act is pebbling at jamaraat and not stoning at shaytaan i.e word pebbles not stones and jamaraat not shaytaan, and who ever beleives that he is stoning shaytaan his thinking is wrong. this only a sunnah, as our prophet never said there is shaytan and we should stone him its totally absurd.

second: who said it is a symbol of shaytaan refer to first answer, your second quest is automatically proves wrong.

third: wrong! out of context from where u got this idea that prophet will sit with allah, give proper refrence from which verse of quran or sahih hadith its written.

fourth: its clearly mentioned in vedas "ekam evaditiyam" that God is only one without a second, also written in svetasvatara upanishad 4:20, "his form is not to be seen no one sees him" also yajurved 32:3, "there is no image of him" or refer to books similarities between hinduism and islam written by many muslim scholars.

fifth:Allah knows past present and future,u beleive in paradise ask youself why are you in earth instead. its like a example of teacher who know prior to exam which of his student will pass and fail etc.. read authentic translation of islamic books.

sixth: jiziya was collected for their safety of lives and properties which in many times they returned back in some cases like in homms in syria, it was also collected instead of zakaat which is fardh for muslim and even sahib e nisaab muslim were not spared if they refuse to pay zakat.

7th: God doesn't make mistakes or changes his mind all books sent by him were changed by men, only quran is safe from any corruption and fabrication because God saved it from many peoples ill intention to changed or destroy and also it will last as there will be no new messenger going to come , I ask you question why there are different books written at different times claiming to be books from god or god inspired to write it that means God needs to send books time to time containing those notes which fits according to the behavior of people.

8th: wrong translation !, its on the day of hour, and also not mentioned as beast in quran, see you are misqouting.

9th: Allah know right before who is going to beleive and who not, even abu lahab would have prove sura lahab wrong when quran said that he will burn in hell, simply abulahab would told to people that i beleive in prophet (s.a.S) and prove it wrong. But he died as kafir.

10) see muslims always trying to follow the best of teaching or want to have best fruit from authentic teaching of islam and that is why among muslims they always have to protest or go against with those people who are trying to bring new things in islam i.e (bidah) that is why widely islams main teaching tauhid is safe. In hindus they scratches one anothers back u scratch my back I will scratch yours.

11) you understand verse 2:106 wrong, see only one verse is not enough u should know the context and theme of whole sura it says about bible and torah which was changed by people that is why God is saying that he will rectify the verses corrupted by Christian and jews and also keep those verses which still similar to bible and torah.

12)our planet life and our life in front of Allah is different, eg: one astronaut age 30yrs went to space same day when his wife delivered a child, he comes after 30 years he find his age is still 30 or little more same as his child b'cas his cycle of life in space was different of measuring day and night as we have in earth. also in quran( surah kahf) its written about companions they sleep in cave for 309 yrs when they woke up they thought they were sleeping for day or two only.
