I dont see where BJP scores over any other party.CPM rule in Kerala and Calcutta is fantabulous!!!so is congress ruled central govt where other than nuclear deal nothing else matters..
If Brahmins are ill treated in Kashmir..Minorities are slaughtered in the rest of India.
When Bombs blast all over India killing even minorities..an Indian dies not the terrorist group.

Coming to "forced Conversions"-this term itself is just so wrong..let me explain..
When a person accepts Christ the procedure is that he has to take a baptism class..agree to the conditions of the church then on a later date receive baptism by immersing in water(river/pond/sea)..after this his name is entered in church records if he needs future assistance-like funeral service,aid for poor etc.
now if we say all converts are the poor please do some home work..Ps Shekhar Kalyanpur,Bro.Manohar,Bro.Vijay Benedict,Ps.Anil Kant,Gul Kriplani...are Hindus and some of them brahmins..who accepted Christ..
About the poor..who are disowned in the gutter and outcaste embrace Christianity of different reasons
1)acceptance,
2)needs
3)spiritual satisfaction
4)for a local leadership and community feeling

u will ask isnt this there in Hindu groups???..for that visit a tribal group and see their outdated lifestyle and superstitions and rampant indiscipline among them.The inhumane conditions and lack of medical/educational support from Govt.

If they do accept Jesus on allurement what stops them from boldly coming back to hinduism when they get what they want from these missionaries.?who stops them??If its about adding to the number of Christians in India..we have no records of them being Christians(so thats OUT)

when is a person likely to say he was forced to convert...??
when a convert is threatened to reconvert to Hinduism he will definitely tell all"oh I was forced by these Christians"

Let me ask a simple thing..if I want my mental image of God to be like Christ who died for unknown people..who can stop me??
Especially over 33 crore gods if a person identifies Christ's saviour image. How can reconversion & hooliganism help???If people are sick of violence wont they be attracted to a God who died forgiving all???

About the social angle..If not for conversions do u think the OBC and SC/ST reservations are given to the deserving or needy??
its time Govt found the genuine needy and not give caste based reservations..
If BPL cards are given to the poor..how many poor actually get it???

point 2:when U approach an institution run by a religious groups they will play religious tapes, place fotos of their spiritual gurus and give prasad and vibhuti to all there..
eg:Bhakti vedanta Hospital (Mira road),Amrita hospital KOchi..Iskcon run institutions..why should minorities tolerate that..
simple.. because if u need something either u comply or leave..

Similarly..in a christian institutions and churches they may have prayers/healers and doctors who believe in Christ and without prior consent of the patient ..why must they pray over the cancer/AIDS/leprosy etc,fast over your illness and wait for a miracle even in a cancer treatment if prima facie the patient doesnt believe in that miracle itself ..

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with the freedom to choose which is at the heart of the conversion rhetoric. We make choices of all kind everyday and we are bombarded with advertising that forces/persuades us to choose. How come we are so vehement when it comes to the freedom to choose a faith or religion? Religion has for years been imposed on us by our parents. Doesn't a Hindu or a Christian have a choice not to remain a Hindu or Christian? Indian constitution gives every Indian the right to practice his faith. Or were we wrong in that? Why is India becoming so intolerant to others? Why these animosity is not expressed when our culture is being desacrlaised by the western media - where our children start to live in as teenages, have babies when they are 17 and experiment with drugs in school. How come the VHP hasn't raised a slogan against abortion, child labour, womens rights, female infanticide and inequality? How come most people belonging to the VHP still see other Hindu's of other castes as inferior to them? I believe some of us have gone nuts. I think the educated young people of this nation needs to drive this nation. And this is the saddest thing - the poorest people in our country continue to suffer irrespective of what the idealogues have to say. We are becoming devisive. Japan had a clear agenda after world war II - rebuild the nation and it is the world's second largest economy. The US rose in prominence in the last 200 years. S. Korea emerged as a modern nation post the korean war. China is emerging as well. India is going after petty feudal wars in the name of religion as two weeks of attacks on Christians show. Can anyone tell me what is India's agenda in the world? We got one Olympic gold and were very happy with that Guys go get a life - try and do something for the poor people of this country, stop looking at their religion, look at them as people who have the same needs as your father and mother. Think for God's sakes.

I am a U.S citizen, and have been reading up on this situation. I have learned more about Hindu religion because of it. This is really a sad thing happening.
I have to say though,... you will find it impossible to get rid of christianity. Christianity is not a threat to your nation. I suggest you really, really search your heart about what you are doing or supporting. Or at least request that your Creator show you. He will show you, if you seek Him.

It is an established fact in front of the world audience that India is one of the best countries with a huge pool of human resources. I hear from so many of my friends who have studied abroad that an average Indian is far better intellectually than any above average westerner. To add to this we know very well that people who are in high ranks, are from poor backgrounds and from Villages. To say that poor Indians are bought with the money of the missionaries, is to say that we Indian, especially the poor ones have no brains to think or to say that we just like cows and sheep, which can be led to any place as we like. Don't insult the poor Indians. We cannot be just bought. We have our heads over our shoulders.
Even for arguments sake, if the christians were buying the poor Indians into being christians, by now the percentage of christians should be up. But the official census says that the percentage of christians has gone down. How could you say that forced conversions are going on?
Ok, let us take it for granted that poor Indians are caught with money; after they get enough money and education, they could very well return back to their original faith(hinduism). This will frustrate the christian missionaries. So many of our leaders including L.K. Advani, has studied in christian institution, but he has not converted.
First let us see our back; even in Orissa, dalit hindus are not allowed into certain temples (like Lord Jaganath Temple), even after the court's order. Later, when the hindu dalits entered the temple with Police protection, the temple priest and other promient higher caste hindus have performed purification ceremoney. So, those dalit hindus should continue to be hindus, with all these humilations? In stead of seeing the speck in someone's eye, let us remove the log from ours. Tell me which VHP or BJP leader has condemned these temple priests and other high caste hindus? Have they supported these dalit hindus?
The Christian missionaries are found in every remote corners of this country trying to do some good may be with a false motive; but our hindu intellectuals with all their learning and wealth, what have they done? If every hindu family helps another poor hindu family, then, who will turn towards the missionaries? In stead of blaming the christians let us do some thing positive in action.
I shall give a warning: Go through the history, it is during the difficult times that Christianity has grown, in fact, during the peaceful times, it has declained or has suffered divisions within. See the west, you have enough and more examples.(Most of the churches are empty or only with few old people). Let history not repeat itself in our land.

I read the release by Gauri Prasad Rath, General Secretary VHP-Orissa & Dr Laxmi Kant Dash, General Secretary, Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram-Orissa from Delhi Camp. I would be happy also to know what the VHP and their followers have done to the Christians? Then it will be a blanced reporting. If the christians are misusing the SC/ST status, then let the competent authorities take action. Destroying their homes and places of worship and killing them cannot be justified under any circumstances. Who are we to take the law into our hands? I am ashamed of being a hindu. Let us ask forgiveness from them.

On Sundays,we collect money as offering during the church service,in fact,its part of our worship and the money or what we call as an offering(no one knows what the other person is giving,while singing and it is generally used for the salary of pastors,church building,poor fund,medical fund or saved for future use.Some of it maybe used in the printing of Bibles.We dont receive any foreign fund.Lots of churches(in fact,all the churches I know,I have used 'lots' for I do not know about all churches) do not receive any foreign fund.NGOs may receive foreign fund,but they are not in anyway connected with the church,they are called para-church organisations and they only involve in social work.There are Hindu,Muslim and athiest auxiliary members in NGOs also.Have you never asked them what we do?This is sad.Giving is part of our worship to God.God is worthy and to be praised.He cares for us and wants us to care for others.Faith without works is dead.Giving is not the only thing we do.As worship,we sing songs glorifying God for God is awesome and worthy to be praised.He sent Jesus Christ-the Messiah down to earth to die for my sins and the whole world's sins,being sinless and perfect,so that the barrier of sin between God and man would be removed.Man would enjoy his relationship with God once more on seeking forgiveness because of the perfect and ultimate sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His resurrection.

At church,we share with each other what God is doing with each other,our strengths and weaknesses and how we are growing in Him and of how He is talking to us.This is what we call fellowship.Then someone,it could be anyone saved,share the Word of God.We pray intercessory prayers for each other.
Though there is no fixed time to worship God,some churches meet for one hour,some for two,three or four,once during a week.

In some churches,miracles or healings take place.I once had a healing in my life.I was a school student then.. I got high fever and severe bone pain in my body.My ma thought it must be rheumatism,like I had when in school.She and dad went to a place of prayer.They got a bottle of prayed oil.They came home.Ma prayed,'In the cross of Jesus,in the blood of Jesus' and kept applying the oil wherever it pained.In 10 minutes time,my high temperature disappeared.(Even though,I am speaking the truth you may not believe,best is to find out by yourself whether I am speaking the truth)After 15-20 minutes I took my skipping rope outside.True,Jesus is a healer,but He is not just a healer to me.He is my personal Saviour and loves me very much.He loves you very much too.Everyone in the whole wide world,even people like Hitler,Saddam Hussein.
John 3:16 says,"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son for whoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life."

It is by believing that Jesus has forgiven and washed you and made you holy before an all-righteous God,you become a Christian.No one can be a Christian otherwise!I know that according to the Bible,money and force dont make people Christians.Did you ever listen to the ministry of convert christians?I know you have not.

Its easy for you to speculate so much from afar,but why dont you attend church and see for yourself what we do?You need not be a Christian to be in a church,only thing you need to be respectful while attending church.I hope that there are enough sane people in Sangh Parivar,who can attend churches respectfully and decide the truth for themselves.We love you and we would love to have you in our fellowship(whether you attend our fellowship or not,whether you love or hate us),we love you and will.... for we have tasted the love of Christ.

p.s:Yes,to be a Christian you need to be born again or saved ... but growing up in a Christian home or getting a certificate change to christianity or baptism makes you as much a Christian as being born in a cow shed will make you a cow!
