THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Forty-two SC organisations under the leadership of the BJP SC Morcha
will stage a dharna at East Fort, Thiruvananthapuram, on Monday against
the UPA Government’s move to grant SC status to converted Christians
and Muslims.

The dharna, planned from 10.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. will
be inaugurated by Satyanarayana Jatiya, BJP national committee member
and SC Reservation Rights Protection Forum national convenor Ramnath
Kovind told reporters after a national-level officebearers’ meeting of
the BJP SC Morcha here.

Pressing forth these demands, the BJP SC
Morcha will organise state-level conferences from August 16 to August
31. An all-India rally is being planned in New Delhi on September 21.

The
meeting registered protest against the Justice Ranganatha Mishra
Commission report okaying the proposal to give SC status to converted
Christians and Muslims.

Kovind said that the criteria of SC
status was based on the practice of untouchability existing in
Hinduism, but since Christianity and Islam professed equality in their
respective religions, there was no justification in granting SC status
to converts.

Senior BJP leaders including former BJP national
president Bangaru Laxman and state president P.K. Krishnadas attended
the meeting.

Congratulations
Congratulations to the leaders who ever were worked for the unity of
these organizations. They have taken the right decision as the appeal
of Muslims and Christians are wrong and they are not at all eligible
for SC St status.

After converting to Islam or Christian all people should lose their SC
or sT status. This will help the actual SC & ST people to get their
reservation rights and as well as it will automatically help to stop
the convertion also.
