Hindus Laud Iceland for Banning Striptease

Hindus have applauded Iceland for banning striptease shows.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that "it was a step in the right direction for Althingi (Iceland Parliament)".

No votes were reportedly cast against this historic European first bill to ban strip shows. Except Vatican and Andorra, strip clubs reportedly operate across Europe.

Zed, who is the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, said that women were not the products to be bought and sold. Businesses should not profit from the nudity of their workers.

Quoting from scriptures Rajan Zed pointed out: Where women are honored, there the gods are pleased. In Hinduism, deity and his wife represent the dual nature of the divine unity, and together epitomize the power of the godhead.

Althingi is believed to have been established at Thingvellir (about 40 km east of Reykjavík) in 930 CE and is fucntioning in Reykjavik since 1845. Currently, its 42.8 percent members are women, including Speaker Ásta R. Jóhannesdóttir. Cinematic Iceland is famous for its active volcanoes, hot springs and geysers; whose settlement began in 874 CE.

Dear friend RKM,

It was good on the part of icelanders to ban such dirty shows. True . The nation that insults womanhood will one day disappear from the world.
Back to reality, in Mahabharatha Queen of Pandavas, Draupadi was seriously insulted by Kauravas who tried to strip her naked in full court while all seers were present and in conseuence Kaurava race was destroyed in the great wardirected by Lord Krishna.Allevil men were killed. Similarly Ravana tried to take hold of Sita by force when her husband was away and he was destroyed with all his evil men. Vali who had sexual relatons with his brother's wife after driving away brother Sugreeva was killed by Rama although he was mightier than Ravana. So, womanisers and those who insult and dishonor women wil be finally destroyed. This is a naked truth. In India, watch for our South Indian films in particular. Watch the chubby and lusty female dancers literally exposing themselves to the last thread while audience appalud hysterically with watering mouths. Hindi cineman is no better. I can quote the dance scene with Vilain Premanath in old movie Jani mera naam with Padma Khanna doing striptease in those days ( 1968).Every one expected eagerly every second that she would pull of her last and least size garment that is the barrier between decency and utter nakedness.Thta did not happen and it was not difficultto visualise for youngsters what could be there.Evil exists in Indian society too in such forms. Censor board like fools watch and abett such things. Because the producers are more powerful than govt servants. They can be purchased at a price.Mujra culture in Islamic society is no better. womnen are displayed and demonstrated in these societies for a price and this has been going on from time immemorial. Where virtue is there evil always will be there. Otherwise how virtue will be recognised? These are like two sides of Coin.The present pub culture in India is the example. At these pubs males taken over by lust watch dancing ( Rather shaking) females dressed half or three fourth or even seven by eigth naked, and commit mental debauchery and mental masturbation in fact.This is the real truth. Can we ban such things in our own country? If we do we have to feel proud with raised heads.
