madrasa education=CBSE

Heralding yet another appeasement measure, the central government has decided to place madrasa certificates on a par with those issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and affiliates of the Council of Board of School Education in India (COBSE). This would make the pass-outs from madrasas eligible for jobs under the government of India. Minister Arjun Singh who made this announcement also mentioned that government will very soon set up Central Madrasa Board.

India is already following

India is already following "Macaulay Educational System", is this a traditional indian model ?

Ancient India had Paatshaalas, where students resided along with their Guru's in isolation and learn the Scriptures.
This above method is already lost to the Western educational model now.

And the Madarasa model, i believe, would definitely have to accomodate into the Macaulay system, except for that it would also have Islamic theology and Arabic supplements.

This model is already existing in most of the christian schools in india, The Holy Bible is recited in the morning school prayers and some even have Moral science class based on The Holy Bible till elementary level.

So this Madarasa had to follow someday or other.

With the Globalisation and advent of internet, the cultural values of all the natives, be it in Asia or Africa have been lost. We have to compete to move forward, or else we will be left behind.

We must also push ourselves and our children to learn scriptures and follow our tradition by an organised appraisal. That is the best way to compete against the western and alien intrusion.

Jai Hind!
