Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh): In ‘Matrudham’ ashram run by Christians at Chandmari, Hindus are being converted at large extent; but it is propagated by the ashram that Hindus are not converted and only guided in proper manner at the ashram. An experience of a seeker of state of Hindus assembled at the ashram and how they are being converted is given below in brief.
Every Sunday, hundreds of Hindus gather in ‘Matrudham’ to get rid of their worldly and spiritual distress which include problems in employment and business, ailments, possession by ghosts etc. There are two places of worship in the ashram. There is a belief among Hindus that if they drink water from the water tank filled with water in the ashram, they get rid of their distress fast; therefore, Hindus go there forgetting their deities. They also inform that they are not converted in the ashram; but they are guided in the ashram. They are told that there is only one son of God and he is Jesus; when one prays to him, one goes to heaven and gets liberated. They are also advised that whatever actions/ customs they were following till then (as per Hindu Dharma) were not proper and they should change their ways. Right from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon, Hindus are told something or the other about Jesus and Christianity. After 12.00 noon, there is topic taken on ‘Witness’ in which people come and one by one, narrate their experineces about how they could overcome their problems. Therefater, a missionary gives a lecture. Camps are also organized occasionally, for youth between 15-25 years of age. Spiritual practice is advised in the form of prayers and devotional songs. (It is shown as if the path of spiritual practice by way of prayers and devotional songs is similar in both the religions. Dont get confused about reliogion just go home take care of your parents as they are the real creater of you.take care of your kids because they are created by you.

I have been following some of the discussions. I would like to address one such post. The one which tries to add a spin to biblical words.
It is a fact that these words are often quoted by the missionaries to convert the hindus to christianity. It is the shock and awe technique which therefores opens another front in the war against christianization of the world.
Afterall the christian's loyalty is always under question as to weather he would answer the call of the pope or the country.
Indian christians are being led on this dangerous path that they become willing pawns in the hands of the western countries.

Your sentense is an example of bigotry against Hindus and this is what I dislike the most about Chritians.
Long before Independence greatest Hindu leaders like Swami Dayanand, Swami Vivekanad, Gandhi and others not just opposed castism but even proved it is not part of Hindu religion. As soon as our country became independent the parliment (with above 90% upper casts) out lawed castism and there was not even a single protest against it. Compare this to US where outlawing slavery led to civil war. Christian America has castism called segregation legally till 1965 that is 20 years after India banned Castism. Even today if you go to US you will not be welcome in many white Churchs. So stop beating Hindus with "Castism" stick.
Pope has given a blanket apology but he has refused to apologize to Hindus in Goa for the religious persecution. Has he apologised to Blacks for slavery and segregation

Just Thinking - I do not approve violence against innocent people of any religion including muslims. But yes if some one attacks us we have a right to fight back.
Also I want to tell you that I am also proud of many Christians who have been very patriotic to our country. Many Christians have served this nation with passion and love. I do not even mind if any Hindu converts to Christianity on his own.
But at the same time Christian Evangilism is offensive. The first principle of evangalism is that the other religion is wrong and satanic. Not only do they convert people by lies, deciet and lure they also make the neo-converts bigots who hate their own countrymen of other religions.
Also I believe Jesus was a man of peace and great sprituality. May be even an avatar of God like Krishna and Ram. But your Bible does not reflect his sayings for example as some one posted earlier
