As per official version the Muncipal team were directed only to demolish the wall which was causing difficulty for bus drivers to take turns. But the Over enthusiastic Muncipal corporation officers demolished the whole temple itself.

Hundreds of Hindus under VHP and Bajrangdal turned up hearing the temple demolition resulting in a tense atmosphere. Finally local MLA and the Minister Mukesh Goud who ordered Temple wall demolition turned up and apologised to Hindus and suspended two GHMC officials who ordered temple demolition.    

Temple reconstruction works were started within few hours after demolition.Temple destruction is rampant in AP under Samuel Reddy.If there was no protest  from Hindu organisations the fate of this also should have been like those of other temples demolished after the congress regime in AP
