Moslems conversion to Christianity

 Subj: Moslems conversion to Christianity

1. Sh. Surrinderji,

I was just wondering why it is that all Muslims are adopting Christianity. Why no Muslim is adopting Hinduism.

2. My Take:

Shri Mohan Jee:

This does not astound me at all. It designates the level of conversion effort, on the part of Christians vis-à-vis Hindu conversion efforts. It does not represent the superiority of Christianity over Hinduism, or the preference of Moslem-Converts for Christianity.

3. Both Islam & Christianity are Gospels Of Hate, and basic thinking of both Moslems & Christians is extremely similar. Both Moslems & Christians are seething with anger, at the sight of Kafirs. Both would rip the heads of Kafirs, to covert them to Christianity ( or Islam ). The blaze into conversion business, with full efforts. Corresponding Hindu conversion effort is mighty little or nill.

4. A reasonable & valid question might be:

“ Why don’t the Hindus make a serious conversion effort ? “

But since you did not ask this question, I won’t address it.

Eternal Destiny: Seek and

Eternal Destiny: Seek and you will find and thr TRUTH will set you FREE.

From my study of Islam so far, even Prophet Muhammad and the very first Caliph Abu Bakr could not confirm categorically about their eternal destiny. We do not want to spend an entire lifetime on what we think might lead us into paradise and at the end just to discover that the criteria to enter into the paradise (Kingdom of heaven) was totally different or far from adequate. We take insurance policy against fire and destruction of our property, but it will be a devastating experience if we do not insure against hell fire and the coming judgement at the judgement seat of God.

If Allah’s messenger prophet Muhammad & his first Caliph and Father-in-law Abu Bakr were not sure of their Eternal destiny what chance do you and other devout Muslims have?

The following Hadith narrated by Khadija portrays that the prophet of Allah did not know his own destiny. “By Allah, though I am Allah's Apostle, I neither know what will happen to me, nor do you.”

Muhammad also said, “No one of us can do a work that will be able to put him in paradise or to rescue him from the fire." They said to him, “Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" And he said, “Even me. [and he tapped himself on the head] until Allah include me in his mercy." (The Correct Hadith by Sheikh Muhammad El Elbani, vol. 6, part 1, hadith #2602, published in Riyyad, Saudi Arabia).

The following Hadith is narrated by Aisha. Please read the full context of the Hadith in the following URL.
“Never did I see him (the Holy Prophet) afterwards but seeking refuge from the torment of the grave in prayer.”

Another passage is recorded in the book by one of Islamic scholars Dr. Haykyl. Abu Bakr is quoted to have said, “If one of my feet were inside paradise, and the other one were still out, I would not yet trust the cunning of Allah.” Abu Bakr was nicknamed the “crying man” as he would continually cry as he prayed. When asked about this one time his answer was, “Every time I start to pray I imagine Allah standing in front of me and the king of death behind me, the paradise to my right and hell to my left side. And I do not know what my God is going to do to me.” (again narrated in Dr. Haykyl’s book.)

We need to understand the reason behind this uncertainty.

First of all, Allah has pre-determined your destiny – whether hell-bound or paradise-bound. Second, there is no way for you to take comfort since Allah has not made this destiny known to anyone including his prophet. Third, to make things worse, there is nothing you can do to alter this destiny. Fourth, the concept of scales (good out-balancing evil) also does not work as one evil will wipe out all the good.

Let me illustrate pre-destination from Al Bukhari’s Hadith which says that your destiny is written down after 120 days of conception.

Narrated `Abdullah: Allah's Apostle, the true and truly inspired said, "(as regards your creation), every one of you is collected in the womb of his mother for the first forty days, and then he becomes a clot for an other forty days, and then a piece of flesh for an other forty days. Then Allah sends an angel to write four words: He writes his deeds, time of his death, means of his livelihood, and whether he will be wretched or blessed (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into his body. So a man may do deeds characteristic of the people of the (Hell) Fire, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angel) surpasses, and so he starts doing deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise and enters Paradise. Similarly, a person may do deeds characteristic of the people of Paradise, so much so that there is only the distance of a cubit between him and it, and then what has been written (by the angel) surpasses, and he starts doing deeds of the people of the (Hell) Fire and enters the (Hell) Fire."

Even though you are a devout Muslim, your holy scriptures do not give you any clear indication of your destiny. Allah has decided not to reveal it till the judgement day. Then it is too late. I will encourage you to do a thorough search of Quran and Hadith if there is some way out of this predicament. As a devout Muslim, all your life you obey Allah as an obedient slave to a demanding master and he does not give you any comfort to you by revealing your destiny which he says he has decreed on you. Imagine 1.5 billion Muslims standing before the judgement seat of God and not one of them sure about their eternal destiny.

In contrast let me share with you what Jesus said. He not only gives the option to everyone to have eternal life, but that they can be absolutely sure about their eternal destiny right now. This is his promise. Jesus does not keep you in suspense about your eternal destiny.
John 5.24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.” Crossing over from death to eternal life has already been guaranteed in this life. You don’t need to wait till you stand before the judgement seat of God.

John 10.9 Jesus said, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved”
John 10.14-18. Jesus said, "I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again.”
2 Peter 3.9, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
1 Timothy 2.4, “who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
In Matt 11.28, Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

The most assuring thing about eternal destiny is that the person who assures you these is the very judge before whom all humanity will stand on the judgement day.
John 5.22, “Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son”
2 Cor 5.10, “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ”

If you believe in Jesus, he does not just offer you eternal life as a gift a master gives to a slave, but as a loving Father gives you the inheritance that rightly belongs to a son.

John 1.10-13, “He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

In contrast, a devout Muslim is like a slave who has to please a demanding master. The second major contrast is that a devout Muslim cannot have a loving relationship with Allah as Allah is remote and does not choose to communicate directly with human beings. He will only communicate with humans using intermediaries.

Devout Muslims do not accept the fact that God is capable of and has the right and power to intervene in human history. This leads a devout Muslim to stand at the judgement seat without any assurance of citizenship into paradise. I am yet to see a verse in Quran or Hadith where Muslims have absolute certainty of entering into paradise without causing harm to fellow humans. (“Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Surah 4.95 -

Reasons why Muhammad could not have known about His own destiny.

First reason why Muhammad could not have known about his destiny is because Muhammad did not have first-hand knowledge of the Kingdom of Heaven. He was dependant on the revelation from a single angelic being at different times spread over several years. Allah has not chosen to communicate with human beings directly. Though according to legend Muhammad had made a night journey on the back of the winged horse “Burak” to the heaven, and supposedly met Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus & others, this experience did not come to his aid in the assurance of his own entry into paradise. Muhammad is also supposed to have visited Hell where he claimed most residents were women!

In contrast, Jesus’ teaching was based on who he was and where he came from and where he was going. As I mentioned earlier Quran endows Jesus with very unique attributes of virgin birth, sinlessness, miracle workings, life with Allah, and his return for judgement. Quran does not attribute these qualities to any human being who has ever lived or will ever live such a life in the future?

Jesus said with authority, (John 8.23-24) "You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins."

Jesus started his ministry preaching about the kingdom of God and kingdom of heaven.
Matt 4.17, “From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."
Luke 8.1, “After this, Jesus travelled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God.

Jesus not only preached about the kingdom of heaven, but He also gave that authority to his disciples. Matt. 16.19, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Even Jesus’ disciples had been given authority on things in heaven.

On the judgement day, Muhammad, Abu Bakr and the rest of humanity will stand before the judgement seat of Christ.

Second reason why Muhammad could not be sure of his own destiny was that Muhammad’s criteria for entering into paradise (the heavenly kingdom) was by works and following the law. According to Muhammad’s teaching, only by following the 5 pillars of Islam can a devout Muslim please Allah. According to Islam, entry into paradise is by works and not a free gift. If your good deeds are more than bad deeds, you might be a candidate. However, there is only one sure way to reach paradise according to Quran, by dying as a martyr in the fight against infidels. This is what is giving the suicide bombers a false hope that by killing the enemies (including the innocent people) you can enter paradise.

Following a set of rules is not a criterion for reward of eternal life. You might have lived a good life, could have done good deeds all your life, but if you murder or rape, that same law only condemns you. The law does not reward you for faithfully following it all your life. The moment you break it, it severely penalises you. One bad deed will nullify a million good deeds.

In contrast Apostle James said (James 2.10) “For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.”

Also citizenship is not gained by following a set of rules. It is a privilege granted without working for it. However, you abide as a good citizenship by following the rules of the nation. Figuratively speaking, “the horse comes before the cart – not the other way.” You first become the citizen of heaven and then you will follow its requirements.

God’s moral laws are more difficult to follow than a set of rituals which can be mechanically followed. No one can keep God’s moral law without help from God himself. Remember what Jesus said about murder and adultery. Matt. 5.21-22, "You have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not murder, and anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.' But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell.”
Matt. 5. 27-28, “"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

The concept that you cannot stand before a Holy God by your own works is taught in the Holy Bible. The main reason why followers of all the non-Christian religions who speak about keeping up the laws are never sure of their own eternal destiny is because they can never know whether they have pleased a very demanding God. Devotees of such religions are like slaves who are fearfully following an angry and demanding God, yet unsure of their own eternal destiny, since their God has kept them from knowing the final result of their devotion.

In contrast to Islamic view, Jesus spelt out the criterion for inheriting eternal life.
The requirement is not works or following the law, but belief in Jesus. Belief brings about eternal life and when you are paradise bound you will do good works and begin to follow God’s moral laws – not just the outward physical laws.

As mentioned earlier you can be sure of eternal life.

John 5.24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”

John 3.3, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again (born spiritually).”

Matt. 5.20, “For I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.”

Jesus said the following to the Jewish religious leaders. Matt. 21.32, Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.”

Matt.23.15, "Woe to you teachers of the law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.”

The early Church had a big debate about following Moses’ law. Peter said emphatically in the general assembly, “God, who knows the heart, showed that he accepted them by giving the Holy Spirit to them, just as he did to us. He made no distinction between us and them, for he purified their hearts by faith. Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke (following the law) that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.
Acts 15.8-11

All the apostles gave the same message. Paul said, "Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the Law of Moses. Acts 13.38-39

Galatians 2.16: “Know that a man is not justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified”

Justification is like the judge telling the court of law that the convict has been forgiven and the judge considers him as if the convict had not committed any act of crime. Justification is declaring a criminal as a saint. Sanctification is the process of making a criminal a saint.

Jude 24.25, “To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Saviour be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”

2 Peter 1.3-4 & 10, 11, “His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires……. Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

If you are devout Muslim, you will have to stand before the judgement seat as possible suspect waiting for a verdict. If you believe in Jesus’ atoning sacrifice, Jesus as the judge will be waiting to welcome you into His eternal glory with great joy. The criterion for entering into paradise is faith in Jesus who has paid the penalty of our sins (so that you escape eternal punishment of hellfire for your sin) and has fulfilled the moral requirement of God’s law – and enables you to live that life (not merely the physical observance) through His Spirit (so that you can enter into paradise)

Third reason why Muhammad was not sure of his own eternal destiny is that Muhammad spent his life (after his revelation) establishing Islamic rule for an earthly kingdom (as opposed to an heavenly kingdom) with rules and regulations as to how people should live as citizens of that earthly kingdom.

Earthly kingdom involves people – good, bad and hypocritical. A rule can be imposed on people by force and intimidation like that of Hitler or by love and compassion or a combination of the two.

Muhammad preached tolerance when he was the oppressed in Mecca, but when he went to Medina and gathered sufficient following, the scenario changed.

Surah 2.61 Allah will visit his wrath on the Jews.
Surah 2.193 Fight them until no one is worshipped but Allah
Surah 2.217 If any of you turn from Islam, you will go to hell.
Surah 3.61 If they say Jesus is divine, flee and pray “Allah curse them”.
Surah 3.109 Most Christians and Jews are transgressors.
Surah 3.146 Allah loves those who are firm and steadfast in war.
Surah 3.150 Soon we shall strike terror in the hearts of the infidel.
Surah 4.74 Whether one die or live fighting Jihad, he will be rewarded.
Surah 4.84 During Jihad all will restrain and punish the infidel.
Surah 4.89 Seize and slay the infidel where you find them.

"kill the Mushrikun (pagans) wherever you find them and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush" (Surah 9.5). Surah 9.29 mentions that this should continue till "those who acknowledge not the truth of the religion (Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Christians and the Jews), until they pay the Jizyah (tax) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued".

Muhammad said that the believer does jihad with his sword and his tongue. (The Correct Hadith by Sheikh Muhammad El Elbani, published in Riyyad, Saudi Arabia, vol. 4, page 172, hadith #1631)

Surah 5;33, “The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter.”

Surah 5.51
O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors; they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.

Surah 2.191
And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith.

Surah 2.216
Fighting is prescribed upon you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.

If you study the Islamic history, you will know how the Islamic rule was established in several countries. Tolerance towards other religion was recorded in Quran when Muhammad and his followers were the oppressed in Mecca. After Muhammad’s flight to Medina, he organised raids against caravans, set ambush against tribes which did not accept his message and pitched battles and had won several victories.

Volume 1, Book 2, Number 35: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The person who participates in (Holy battles) in Allah's cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostles, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to Paradise (if he is killed in the battle as a martyr). Had I not found it difficult for my followers, then I would not remain behind any sariya going for Jihad and I would have loved to be martyred in Allah's cause and then made alive, and then martyred and then made alive, and then again martyred in His cause."

John 18.36-37
In contrast, Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place." "You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me."

Jesus established his heavenly kingdom by shedding his own blood for the enemies while Muhammad established an earthly kingdom by shedding the blood of the infidels.

Romans 5.6-10, “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!”

Fourth reason why Muhammad was not sure is because he did not preach a new revelation from a loving God, but preached a religion which was already present in Arabia. This religion was a heretical sect which accepted Jesus, but rejected the good news preached by Jesus. It stripped the Gospel of Jesus of all the good news and was left with doctrines which denied the divinity of Jesus, his atoning sacrifice on the cross and his resurrection.

Muhammad’s first wife Kadijah and her cousin Waraqa (Bishop of this religion) belonged to the heretical sect called Ebionites. There was also another sect called the Nestorians whose monk Bahira (Syrian) prophesied about young Muhammad when he was 12. These two sects were present at the time of the apostles and the early Church. Please do a Google search on Ebionite & Islam & see the remarkable similarities. Ebionites also taught that the law should be observed. When Muhammad said he was confused and fearful after his first revelation, Khadija and her cousin Waraqa (Ebionite Bishop) affirmed it was from God. When you deny justification by Jesus’ blood and his death, you have to depend on your own merits and you can never be sure even after you die whether you have done enough to enter into heaven. Prophet Muhammad’s practice of meditating in the cave was actually the practice of Ebionite believers. Muhammad was meditating in a cave when he was confronted by his revelation.

Please read the following Hadith which puts into context what I meant.

@ [[From Bukhari]] 9.111: Narrated `Aisha: The commencement of the Divine Inspiration to Allah's Apostle was in the form of good righteous (true) dreams in his sleep. He never had a dream but that it came true like bright day light. He used to go in seclusion (the cave of) Hira where he used to worship (Allah Alone) continuously for many (days) nights. He used to take with him the journey food for that (stay) and then come back to (his wife) Khadija to take his food like-wise again for another period to stay, till suddenly the Truth descended upon him while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him in it and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read." (The Prophet added), "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, and I replied, "I do not know how to read," whereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and asked me again to read, but again I replied, "I do not know how to read (or, what shall I read?)." Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me and then released me and said, "Read: In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists). Has created man from a clot. Read and Your Lord is Most Generous...up to..... ..that which he knew not." (96.15) Then Allah's Apostle returned with the Inspiration, his neck muscles twitching with terror till he entered upon Khadija and said, "Cover me! Cover me!" They covered him till his fear was over and then he said, "O Khadija, what is wrong with me?" Then he told her everything that had happened and said, 'I fear that something may happen to me." Khadija said, 'Never! But have the glad tidings, for by Allah, Allah will never disgrace you as you keep good reactions with your Kith and kin, speak the truth, help the poor and the destitute, serve your guest generously and assist the deserving, calamity-afflicted ones." Khadija then accompanied him to (her cousin) Waraqa bin Naufal bin Asad bin `Abdul `Uzza bin Qusai. Waraqa was the son of her paternal uncle, i.e., her father's brother, who during the Pre-Islamic Period became a Christian and used to write the Arabic writing and used to write of the Gospels in Arabic as much as Allah wished him to write. He was an old man and had lost his eyesight. Khadija said to him, "O my cousin! Listen to the story of your nephew." Waraqa asked, "O my nephew! What have you seen?" The Prophet described whatever he had seen. Waraqa said, "This is the same Namus (i.e., Gabriel, the Angel who keeps the secrets) whom Allah had sent to Moses. I wish I were young and could live up to the time when your people would turn you out." Allah's Apostle asked, "Will they turn me out?" Waraqa replied in the affirmative and said: "Never did a man come with something similar to what you have brought but was treated with hostility. If I should remain alive till the day when you will be turned out then I would support you strongly." But after a few days Waraqa died and the Divine Inspiration was also paused for a while and the Prophet became so sad as we have heard that he intended several times to throw himself from the tops of high mountains and every time he went up the top of a mountain in order to throw himself down, Gabriel would appear before him and say, "O Muhammad! You are indeed Allah's Apostle in truth" whereupon his heart would become quiet and he would calm down and would return home. And whenever the period of the coming of the inspiration used to become long, he would do as before, but when he used to reach the top of a mountain, Gabriel would appear before him and say to him what he had said before. (Ibn `Abbas said regarding the meaning of: 'He it is that Cleaves the daybreak (from the darkness)' (6.96) that Al-Asbah. means the light of the sun during the day and the light of the moon at night). [[

Muhammad was rightly concerned that his experience was fearful and not peaceful. It was Khadija and her cousin who affirmed it was from God. It was strange that the angel did not know that Muhammad could not read. God’s angels who are God’s messengers know the truth about the person. What Muhammad taught was not really a new revelation but an old one presented as new and final.

If you read the letter to the Galatians in the New Testament you will know that it is addressing the heresy which was creeping into the Church not very different from Islamic beliefs. When someone denies all the truth of the Gospel (sinfulness of human beings, the need for repentance & forgiveness, Jesus’ atoning sacrifice, His death on the cross, His Resurrection, His future Judgement), he is throwing away the good news and holds on to the law and his own works. That is why he or she can never be sure of salvation or eternal life or the result of the judgement. The letter to Galatians even speaks of people who claim to have received revelations from angelic beings. It puts a final seal of good news by faith alone and not by works.

Gal 1.6-8,” I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!”

Also see what the Holy Bible says in 2 Corinthians 11.13-15, “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”

In contrast to Islamic beliefs Jesus said to his disciples, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.” John 10.27,28

Fifth Reason why Muhammad could not know about his eternal destiny is due to the fact that some of the revelations by Muhammad’s own admission were satanic and in error.

When Muhammad and his community came under severe persecution, eighty-three of his followers who had no protection emigrated from Mecca to Ethiopia, taking refuge in the ancient Christian country, Abyssinia. Under increasing boycotts and pressure, Muhammad went through a time of weakness and accepted a compromise by acknowledging the existence of three pagan goddesses alongside Allah: Lat, Uzza, and Manat. The account of this is in Sura an-Najm (Star) 53:19-22.
“[19] Have ye seen Lat, and 'Uzza,
[20] And another, the Third (goddess), Manat?
[21] What! for you the male sex, and for Him, the female?
[22] Behold, such would be indeed a division most unfair!”

This indirect confession of polytheism, with the statement that Allah was involved with female goddesses, was cynically discussed by author Salman Rushdi. He made the impure account even more obscene. Therefore, his book was regarded as blasphemous by all Muslims.

The true, vital issue about the satanic verses in the Qur'an is this. If Muhammad was unable to distinguish Satan’s voice from God’s voice, could there then be verses in the Qur'an which Muhammad assumed were from God but were really from Satan? Even at his very first encounter with the revelation, Muhammad was rightfully terror stricken. Though Muhammad was sincere, the heretical influence of Kadijah and Waraqa made him accept that it was from God.

In Surah Hajj (Pilgrimage) 22:52-53, Muhammad confessed his mistake, supposing that all prophets were tempted by Satan who would inspire them with his verses, as if they were actually revealed by God. But later on Allah abrogated these Satanic Verses with new revelations and judges his people according to these new verses. In Islam Allah permits such demonic inspiration to test weak Muslims or to cut off those with hardened hearts.
(“[52] Never did We send a Messenger or a prophet before thee, but, when he framed a desire, Satan threw some (vanity) into his desire: but Allah will cancel anything (vain) that Satan throws in, and Allah will confirm (and establish) His Signs: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom: [53] That He may make the suggestions thrown in by Satan, but a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease and who are hardened of heart: verily the wrong-doers are in a schism far (from the Truth)”)

Abrogation has a special place in Islamic theology. There are several verses in Quran which have been abrogated by later verses. Quran itself lays down the principle of abrogation.

Surah 2.106: "Our revelations we abrogate or cause to be forgotten, we substitute (with) something better or similar. Knowest thou not that God (Allah) hath power over all things?"

I do not intend to go into detail about abrogation here except to say that if one verse is abrogated for another verse, what is the assurance that that verse will not be abrogated again due to error.

In contrast, though Bible has been written not by one person’s revelation (like Muhammad’s) but by inspiration of God through several of his prophets, kings, and apostles through several centuries, it has stood the test of time without a single abrogation. New Testament has several thousand manuscripts. There may be copying errors which can be verified from more ancient documents. Biblical scholars have specially made note of these in most modern translations. They are open for everyone to see. But there is no change in Biblical truth because God’s words are never in error.

Finally, I would like you to test the claims of Christ whether true or not. You don’t need to blindly believe anything I have written. Jesus does not mind you asking questions. His own disciples doubted and asked questions. He is not like a dictator who cannot tolerate questions. He loved you so much that He gave His life for you. You can feel His presence if you sincerely ask him. You can talk to Him like a child talks to the father.

If Christ is alive and real, he will answer you and give you the assurance of salvation and paradise. He has given me that assurance. He has given millions of others the same assurance.

John 5.24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”
