Laxmibai Kelkar Mausiji

Vidarbha is a very fertile land producing enriching crops. Not only that but it has produced outstanding personalities who have preciously given a new dimension to the history of this land. Realisation of the mantra is the prestigious honour of this small region. Sangh and Samiti, the two major Hindu organisations of Akhil Bharateeya status, have their origin in this region.

Narendra Modi

Shri Narendra Damodardas Modi,  was born on September 17, 1950 at Vadnagar town in Mehsana District of north Gujarat. His mother's name is Hiraben who fondly brought him up. From his boyhood, Narendra was bubbling with enthusiasm to do something for the cause of the nation.This patriotic fervor and nationalist spirit made him leave Vadnagar , his home town. At the age of 17 in 1967 he came to Ahmedabad and approached the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) office and from there he pursued higher studies and obtained the Master Degree in the Political Science.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Former Prime Minister

Shri Vajpayee was Prime Minister of India from May 16-31, 1996 and a second time from March 19, 1998 to May 13, 2004. With his swearing-in as Prime Minister, he has been the only Prime Minister since Jawaharlal Nehru to occupy the office of the Prime Minister of India through three successive mandates. Shri Vajpayee has also been the first Prime Minister since Smt. Indira Gandhi to lead his party to victory in successive elections.

Madhukar Dattatraya Deoras

Madhukar Dattatraya Deoras (commonly addressed as Balasaheb) was an Indian politician and former Sarsanghchalak, or chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the largest Hindu nationalist organisation in India. He took over the position of leadership after the death of Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar and was succeeded by Rajendra Singh in 1994 when he resigned due to ill-health. Balasaheb Deoras died in June 1996.

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya

 

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was born on Monday September 25, 1916, in the sacred region of Brij in the village of Nagla Chandraban in Mathura District . His father was a well known astrologer. An astrologer who studied his horoscope predicted that the boy would become a great scholar and thinker, a selfless worker, and a leading politician - but that he would not marry. While at Bhatpur tragedy struck the family, he lost his brother to illness in 1934. He later went to high school in Sikar. Maharaja of Sikar gave Pandit Upadhyaya a gold medal, Rs. 250 for books and a monthly scholarship of Rs.10.

Kuppahalli Sitaramayya Sudarshan (born June 18, 1931) is the current sarsanghachalak (appointed leader) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a Hindu nationalist organization. Sudarshan was born in Raipur (now in Chhattisgarh) in a Kannadiga Brahmin family. He was nine when he first attended an RSS shakha.

Rajendra Singh

Dr. Rajendra Singh,( डा. राजेंदर सिंह ), called popularly Rajju bhaiyya,( रज्जू भईया )[1], was the former Sarsanghchalak, or chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the largest Hindu nationalist organisation in India.

In the mid-1980s Singh became RSS general secretary and was party to designing the Ram Janmabhoomi strategy.
