Pracharaks

The RSS was developed all over the country because of its nationalistic ideology and sacrifies of selfless karyakartas. The "pracharaks" or "full-time workers", who were spread all over the country and karyakartas who had got trained, made RSS as world's biggest social welfare organisation. Many reputed personalities in modern India have defined RSS as Ready for Selfless Service.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi were Pracharak.

Funding RSS

Of course, to run an Organisation, big or small, does require financial backing.
How does the Sangh do it?

In the infancy of the Sangh, when the Organisation had not crossed the periphery of Nagpur, Swayamsevaks used to ask ‘Donations’ from well wishers for the cause.
But after a few years, this practice was stopped by P. Pujaneeya Doctor ji.

He imbibed in the young Swayamsevaks (15/16 year old boys), “Ours is a Family. If there is a function in the family. We don’t go around in the neighbourhood, asking money for the cause. We raise our own resources amongst ourselves”.

This is one aspect of the finances of the RSS.

The other is, if it is a family matter, each young and old, contributes according to his own might for the cause.

There is no ‘monthly’ or ‘yearly’ contribution/subscription, because there is no ‘membership’ as such.

Ghosh

Ghosh is the RSS Band. It is just like any army band which consists: Anak (Drum), Vamshi (Flute), Shankh (Bugle), Panav (Big Drum),

Shrung (Trumpet), Trya, etc. All the themes (rachnas) are usualy based on shastriya sangeet.

Boudhik

We think Men cant be developed with its muscles alone, they need tonic for there brains too. For that purpose RSS arrange for intelectual, patriotic speetches regularly at Shakha. These sessions are callled as Bouddhik.
