Court Bans Shariah4hind Website, Prohibits 3 March Rally
Tajjinder Pal Singh Bagga has done it again! In response to a petition filed by him, the Delhi HC has banned the controversial website shariah4hind.com in India. It has also called for prohibition of a proposed mass gathering by members of the Muslim community. This comes as a major break through, as the website called for a mass uprising of Muslims in India, exhorting for Shariah and breaking of idols of Hindu deities.
In a press release, the Honourable Delhi High Court stated its judgment thus, “Honourable Delhi High Court, after hearing the PIL filed by Bhagat Singh Kranthi Sena’s President, Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, through his advocate Vikas Padora, directed Commissioner of Police to verify the website wwwshariah4hind.com and ban it in India if needed and further directed to make sure that no such rally should take place in Delhi, as such rallies are threat to secularism and communal harmony of India. Chief Justice expressed his concern on the issue.
Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, widely hailed as ‘Second Bhagat Singh’ is the head of Bhagat Singh Kranthi Sena. He shot into limelight when he hurled a shoe at Hurriyat hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani and later for having taken Prashant Bhushan to task, for his controversial statements on Kashmir.
The website shariah4hind.com has been hosted by Anjem Chowdhary, a hardliner based in UK. A recent one, it called for mass uprising and implementing of Shariah laws in India, wiping out idols of Hindu deities and issuing of fatwa against Indian political icons including LK Advani and Narendra Modi. The website evoked large scale protest from all over the nation, following which a case was filed by Tajinder Singh Bagga.
