I completely agree with the author . In fact RSS website is not accessible inspite of having very powerful internet lines . There are no press releases which are quite required in todays era .Critisism is fine but allegations are not acceptable . RSS keeping quite will be construed as silent consent and will lead to all mud slinging . Otherwise the RSS support will diminish . The journalists who understand RSS philosophy should not just work for Organizer or Panchajanya , they need to work for other mass media to be more effective .

I totaly agree with u.RSS MUST CHANGE.And make it impossible 4 non-hindus 2 post comments insulting us hindus!Make all login with emails then send sms 'join' with mobile number which must be verified.There after as verified legit members we can post/blog.Admin has still not responded 2 me.Its 3 months now admin.

i am not agreed at this point. this should accessible to all. look minorities has become part of India
we can not get rid off them. we should try to add nationalist minorities. It will increase our chances of acceptability world wide

RSS is doing a commendable job ...Young generation wants to join the RSS and help its dream of a unified and powerful India to come true... There must be a proffessional approach i have met many people who wants to join rss ...There view on removing casteism is again commendable.

I do not agree to that RSS should change it's ideology, because of the same ideology only Sangh is still running. That is backbone for Sangh work. Coming to media, YES there is a need to spread Hindutva journalists among all types of media. This work is already started. You can see the effect of it in few years.

I agree that RSS must come out with new ideal to implement same old ideology. Principle is same, but present it to penetrate the new generation especially the youth. Ways to educate about the culture and bring awareness among majority of the society. We all need to play a role in putting it in practice not just suggesting.

We can start posting some ideas of how we can achieve this...

The doors of RSS are open for everyone who believes in its ideology and Nationalism. It is true that RSS has adopted to answer any criticism through its actual work and not through press releases or publication because it is also seen that various false items also appear in the press and fabricated publications are also made. RSS swayamsevak has been taught to only work and work but now RSS has also changed its policy to some wxtent. Now programmes of RSS are widely got covered through media, various publications are made. Various programmes are undertaken to attract youths towards its Shakhas without compromising on its basic ideology and way of working. RSS has also provided all its Shakhas (Branches) to initiate any exercise to attract youths. It is true that youth is also moving fast towards careerism and Nationality has become secondary issue but still RSS is attracting a major chunk of youth through its present way of working. If you all can suggest any major change, please let me know so that it may be discussed in RSS circles and may be adopted in practical.

Few suggestions
1) Educating youth on caste system:
Today youth has a strong feeling against Caste system of Bharat. Many feel that the whole caste system is wrong. RSS, has to educate the youth about the system and explain the problem as to how to solve many problems that are arising due to exploitation of the System. There are some issues in caste system as in any other system of any country. We have to solve those problems rather than getting rid of the system(which we can't, or do not need to).
Stones in a rice bag must be removed rather than throwing the rice bag itself.

2) Religion: Teach the true religion to the youth. Hindu dharma is not just rituals and poojas... its only a branch of the huge tree, but roots are something very very different. Our Vedas/Upanishads as roots, very few of this generation is getting a chance to look into those.
RSS should think of innovative ways to bring this message into the youth.. it is UTMOST important task of bringing awareness of our roots. Very few students are inclined to know these, parents themselves want only western education and nothing of ours. The Bharat society is becoming more materialistic than ever... its all due to lack of education and awareness of our Dharma. RSS must play a role in this area.

i never said that rss should change its ideology i just said to modify them. in this dynamic world we don't have years to spend. we are running short of time. we need to work at war level.

Ekamsat and Om ji Jai Shree Ram & thanks for ur valuable suggestions and comments. RSS is already doing well in the education field. You must have knowledge at Vidya Bharti is working in the field of education which is totally inspired by RSS. Vidya Bharti is running more than 28000 schools in all over India based on Indian values. Similarly Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram is separately running Ekal Vidyalyas in remote Vanvasi Areas of the country on the same pattern. The need of hour is to associate more and more people to these fields. We citizen can play a vital role in this matter.

So far ideology of RSS is concerned, it is being appreciated by youth and if any valuable suggestion to attract more and more youths and any short-cut to fulfill the RSS aim is available, let it be known so that action in that direction may be initiated. Experience is that the present way of working of RSS has proved time tested. Even then valuable suggestions are welcome.

The one problem with RSS is that it became unresponsive, and in some way ritualistic.. it completely discarded the intellectual role of the people, and only insists on following pre-defined set of process..

There are numerous problems which needs numerous solutions in different dimensions.. but there is no any rational attempt on the part of RSS to understand, find solutions and solve it..

Secondly, there is a sense of fear psychosis, and intolerance, or to be accurate, insensitive to criticism.. when some one criticise them, then they will immediately start talking of all the things they have done.. like we had done in tsunami, bihar floods etc..
But what they dont understood is the difference b/w criticisation and denigration..

Recently, the TOI published a cartoon, denigrating RSS.. but what's the response.. its a negative mentality, like "Let them do what ever they want.." .. they dont realise that while rss is confined to their core ideology, the other medias and rivals had succeeded in isolating large mass of people from it.. also they dont understand that, when such mass media publishes such denigrating cartoon, it creates a bad impression about RSS on the common mass.. in such situation, its natural to receive hostile response when rss approaches common people..

Unless, they understand the ground realities and adapt according to the challenges and problems, they are going to lose in the long run..
They also need to understand, that changing our way of work is different from changing ideology.. they are often confusing both..

I have one fantastic idea for this problem. Thats is trough business. Lets see some facts:

1. British, Postugeese and french could establish their kingdome all over the world only through trade and commerse. Later they converted those places into their colonies (by what ever means).
2. Hinduism presense in south east asia is predominently because of trades of Tamil kingdoms (especially King Chola who was pioneer in inter-continental trade using ships etc).
3. Though in small numbers, trade communities like Marwari's and Gujrati's etc are able to retain their Hindu identity better than other communities
4. Doesnt matter you accept it or not, the Kaliyug is money-driven. This is clearly mentioned in our scritpures. Can RSS change the rules of time? I dont think so.

All these points I mentioned is to strees the point that RSS should come out of MONEY FOBIA. My question to top RSS ideologists is that why cant RSS establish some business unit to fund its activities? if Taliban can go for illegal drug trafficking for funding their activities, why cant we at lease start some legal ways of making money? This kind of set up has multiple advantages:

1. Pool money available for spreading sangh ideology - like starting own media. news paper etc
2. For countering attacks on our ideology
3. Opportunity for some of the poor hindus to make their living by working in such business units.
4. Decrease the influance of western products and business models by replacing with Hindu models
5. Check the growth of other trade communities like Muslims and Christians
6. Financial aid for families of poor swayamsevaks example - children education, marriage etc
7. Financial aid for those who are troubled during disputes with govt or other communities etc

If we just think how each and every one in this country is aware of brand Reliance through its vast varieties of products, we should understand how much opportunities we have.

Now lets see whether it contradicts RSS ideology. Suppose you got cold. Now just because nose causes cold, do you think nose is to be removed? Is it not vital for surviving? I think same about money. I am giving this example because when I proposd this idea amoung swayam sevaks, the response was very negative. Their main worry is about the handling of the money and possible disputes over it. Isn't same as the nose nad cold example?

Now, another argument. What Bhagavan Krishna told in geeta? remove thorn by means of thorn. If you apply this to the current situation, when Muslim and Christian business lobby makes lots of money and threaten the very existance of hindus and hinduism, whats wrong in facing the problem using the same weapon?

Any comments on this are welcome. I know I will get some comments like 'easier said than done' or 'you better see how you can conduct shakha effectively than giving dry suggestions to others' etc. I am prepared for that and I pardon those who make such comments because they are hindu's.

I do not know how well Sangh Parivar is built up. I feel the Sangh Parivar should build up a heirarchy like the Catholic Church. The whole of India should be devided in Hindu provinces with a head (like the Pope)which should be further devided and subdevided into (give names to the devisions)lesser devisions with heads subordinate to the superior. The temples should have heads and their parish like devisions should take care of the people of their division(parish) by providing schools where Hindu child should be taught of Hindu values and love for ones country and dharma. No poor hindu should be neglected lest he be taken by the enemy of Hinduism. LET THE HINDU STOP ATTENDING XN SCHOOLS for the elienation of the Hindu from his dharma, culture and nation starts in the Xn schools in a very subtle manner. Reach the remote areas before the Xn reaches. Build a temple close to the church whenever a new church comes up. Let there be daily pujas in Temples.

RSS , sangh pariwar is doing good work and day by day the followers and admirers are increasing leaps n bounds ..Its now time that RSS should address the richest hindu people the need to open VEDIC schools including modern technology for the poor people , the adivasis, who cant even earn money and get lured away by the christian missionaries ...Rich hindu people should voluntarily give donations to VEDIC organisations ...Its time people from the film industry likes of Sh . Amitabh and other renowned Actors do for protecting our sanatan dharm and not work for sh. Mulaym ...Its time for the Big industrialists to open modern VEDIC shcools and hospitals to work as vedic missionaries...Here the role of RSS comes first , it should see that such people feel proud to join the RSS and not worry about their public image , DHARMO RAKSHATI RAKSHATAH !!

To My view whenever we talk of changes we must understand Our Original nature , for example consider our Body The Constiuent element has its own role of functionality.
Every nation also has its own role to play. You can not expect same type of reaction for the same event in same way in every places.
sangh was built with a particular thought process to cure a critical factor keeping in mind, and that factor is still alive. I t may take centuries to attain the goal.
Building an organisation with a bold idea is not one days job.Nation building is not a job of TV reality show or Fashion parade.
The processes are completely different
Persevearence, strong patriotic feeeling, sacrifices for nation etc qualities never been achieved just by easy attractive lecture or public shows, It requires constant sadhanas for decades even centuries.
sangh is busy in doing that. It does'nt care who(celebrity) tells what .Because how they can gauge the Viraat roop of sangh just seating at air condition room of media studios.
We should not be restless in reacting every media activities every now and then rather we should concentrate more on thinking how we can utilise our energy in positive creation.
If we disassociate ourselves from the Nitya sadhana
and if every surrounding activities start agitating our mind to focus on reactions only we will loose our strength.
Instead of refuting the media we should engage ourselves in more constructive activities toward nation building, may be in small level and refrain from the habits of reflex reactions.
Be patient, build yourself, gather your strength, all other obstacles will go away in natural process.

RSS should come in public in a more active way. People should know that it is an organisation like any other, but the only organisation with indian values imbibed in it. At present the common man/ families does not have any idea about RSS. RSS should hold exhibitions and seminars and contact programmes in all towns and cities of India.

Let us all come together to fight anti hindu attitude.

RSS need to have a good advartising agency and good number of Swayam Sevaks from Media houses. Prachar karna ab jaruri hai . nahi to yeh Pseudo seculars kichad uchalenge zarur.

Hindu literature (the best in the world)is no more popular in youngesters. People of our generation don't read literature and have forgot sanskruti. Have adopted the culture of other religions and nations. Sangh needs to focus on this front actively. Further Hindus are divided based on language, caste and sub-caste. RSS needs to bring them together. Sangh needs to dis-associate with political parties. This will help Sangh to change its image. Sangh should be seen in association with some causes not with voilent moves. Please note that 'Hindu's' base have become weak. It requires urgent treatment. Only Sangh have capabilities to do this.

RSS doesnt support caste systeme in Hinduism. Hindu is Hindu. Since we dont consider any caste how comes you belongs to "scheduled caste"? How can you become Brahmin, since their is nothing like "Brahmin"?

To Manoj Kale, Do not take me negatively I just voice my opinion which I have concluded through observation, it may be difficult to achieve but efforts are needed as there are few miracles.
Start living,acting,thinking, behaving like a brahmin , you will become a brahmin. I had a collegue whom I thought was a brahmin for years. When I learned he was a harijan I got the shock of my life. He was treated like a brhmin by everyone ! What about the christians in India, were they all brahmins got converted! Majority were from the lower caste and see the upper brahmin caste is getting educated by them today! One of my student refused to take the facilities meant for the SC and ST saying that are well off now and they do not need any help some other needy student can take it. The govt has enabled many to become brahmins. The affort of the people also is neccessary in converting oneself in to a brahmin.

Why we are unable to bring millions of people who are members of other parivar organisation into RSS shakhas ? ABVP /BMS/BKS /VHP etc has millions of memebers ,but only a fraction of them are swayamsevaks . I came into RSS contact throug the weekly shakha held in our college .If we can conduct at least weekly shakhas in colleges where we can impart physical as well as intellectual training , we can get more swayamseavks .I have found that many of the ABVP workers who have done dedicated work cease to be involved in our activities once they are out of college since they have no connection with RSS .
The weekly shakhas in colleges should be for both boys and girls -Hindu boys and girls should be physically and intellectually strong. Similarly we should bring BMS workers also into RSS shakahas.

RSS need to modified itself, its activities and its ideology

- What do all the titles behind names mean? Can we change this to English. ( look at all the queing in western embassies by hindus... they all have to know English)

If you can not agree, they should be changed to the anvient of all languages - supreme Tamil.

- All shaks should be for both boys and girls. The girls should wear only colourful shorts and T Shirts and not the taliban colour of Khaki Yak.
