Qualities of leadership

I read the news that some individuals who articulated information contrary to historical facts which tantamount to offend Indian people have been allowed to return without people having had an opportunity to hear an apology from them. I am not surprised but it made me cough out my morning coffee all over my keyboard. I believe that people should be given such shocking news little by little so that they don’t suffer heart attack reading them.

People aspiring leadership positions and those who currently make a living using such positions must realize the fact that the basis of their opinion must be focused on social objectives, historical facts, will and aspirations of the masses. Bygone are the days in which large masses of people followed the ideas and the paths of a few individuals. Time and time again the hall mark of political leadership has been the ability to stand and bluff for hours. Such bluffs have shown their willingness to shift their paradigms according to changing political weather. Societies which depended upon that type of leaders have perished. Indian history has ample examples of such leaders. Such individuals are better suited in circus arenas as comedians than the positions of national leadership of one billion plus people. Even circus comedians write their script and practice them well to make sure that their performance is acceptable to the audience even though they may not be applauded.
