THIS REGRET HAS NO RATIONAL BASIS.
SINCE INDEPENDENCE, IT HAS BEEN REGRETTED UMPTEEN TIMES BY VAST NUMBER OF PEOPLE ALL OVER THE COUNTRY AS TO WHY SARDAR PATEL WAS NOT ANNOINTED AS THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER BY THE CONGRESS-PITA & RASHTRA-KAPUUT DAS MOHAMMED KARIM CHANDRA GANDHI. ALL THE ARGUMENTS THAT HAD BEEN / STILL BEING PROFFERED IN FAVOUR OF SARDAR PATEL ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT AND JUSTIFIED. RECENTLY, EVEN NARENDRA MODI EXPRESSED HIS REGRET IN THIS REGARD.
I BEG TO DIFFER. IT WAS DIVINELY PROVIDENTIAL THAT SARDAR PATEL DID NOT BECOME FIRST PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA AND IT WAS NEHRU WHO WAS ALLOWED TO ( DIS-) HONOUR THE AUGUST SEAT OF POWER.
IF SARDAR HAD BEEN APPOINTED AS THE FIRST PM, THEN NEHRU WOULD HAVE CERTAINLY BEEN THE FIRST HOME MINISTER IN THE CABINET AS HIS No.2. IF NEHRU HAD BEEN THE FIRST HOME MINISTER, NATION WOULD HAVE CERTAINLY ENCOUNTERED FOLLOWING DISASTERS -
HE WOULD HAVE GIFTED AWAY ENTIRE KASHMIR TO HIS 'IN-LAWS' IN PAKISTAN !! REMEMBER, NEHRU AS PRIME MINISTER HAD NOT ALLOWED SARDAR TO HANDLE KASHMIR AFFAIRS IN SPITE OF HIS OPPOSITION.
JAMNAGAR WOULD HAVE BEEN CAPTURED BY (NA-)PAKISTAN. NATION WOULD HAVE BEEN THEN COPING WITH ONE MORE AKSHAI-CHIN ON THE WESTERN FRONT AND NEHRU WOULD HAVE JUSTIFIED IT IN THE LOK SABHA LIKE A FIRST RATE TRAITOR - "WELL, IT IS AN INFERTILE / NO MAN's LAND...", THE WAY HE DID FOR AKSHAI-CHIN AFTER THE CHINA DEBACLE.
ENTIRE NIZAM STATE WOULD HAVE BECOME ANOTHER ISLAMIC COUNTRY WITHIN THE TERRITORY OF THIS COUNTRY, AS LANDLOCKED AS NEPAL. IT WOULD HAVE THEN, BECOME A PERPETUAL HEADACHE FOR THE COUNTRY LIKE J & K. KINDLY RECALL, SARDAR COULD TAKE ACTION IN HYDERABAD ONLY IN ABSENCE OF NEHRU, WHEN HE WAS ABROAD.
SUBSTANTIAL CHUNK OF BENGAL WOULD ALSO HAVE BEEN TAKEN AWAY BY (NA-)PAKISTAN.
THERE MIGHT HAVE BEEN SEVERAL MORE SUCH INSTANCES OF STABBING IN THE BACK OF THE NATION ADVERTENTLY / INADVERTENTLY WHATSOEVER, BY NEHRU AS THE FIRST HOME MINISTER. LATER ON HE WOULD HAVE TAKEN OVER AS THE SECOND PRIME MINISTER IN 1950, AFTER DEATH OF THE SARDAR. HE WOULD HAVE BEEN THEN, HEADING A REPUBLIC OF INDIA UNDER LIQUIDATION, TO SAY THE LEAST !!
SARDAR PATEL's TENURE AS THE FIRST HOME MINISTER WAS A PROVIDENTIAL GIFT / BOON TO THE NATION. IT WAS ENTIRELY IN THE INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY THAT HE WAS NOT NOMINATED AS THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER OF POLITICALLY FREE INDIA.
HAD SARDAR PATEL LIVED A LITTLE LONGER AS THE FIRST HOME MINISTER...CHINA DEBACLE MIGHT NOT HAVE HAPPENED.THAT IS THE REGRET THAT MAY BE JUSTIFIED.
SARDAR PATEL AS THE FIRST PRIME MINISTER AND NEHRU AS THE FIRST HOME MINISTER WOULD HAVE BEEN A COCKTAIL OF MONUMENTAL DISASTERS FOR THE NATION. NEHRU WOULD HAVE THEN PROBABLY TARNISHED REPUTATION OF THE SARDAR. EVEN BY NOW, WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RECOVER FROM THAT AS A NATION, IN THAT CASE.
HENCE, THIS REGRET HAS NO RATIONAL BASIS.

Guys I have a series of question in constructing Ram Mandir. Please refute their arguments.
Argument 1:
We say(RSS): Ram Mandir is a issue of honor.
They say: You don't care for innocent human life, you just care for your egos. you have already destroyed the Masjid present there, at that site, which resulted in HUGE loss of Human life, Huge loss of Human life for this false pride.
Argument2:
We say: Ram Mandir is symbol of strength!
They say: you want to show your damn "STRENGTH", and you don't care for innocent Human lives that would be lost in this bloody process of show of strength..do we really need a Temple at that site now ? I mean will Shri Ram have asked people to build a Temple there for him even at the cost of Human lives ?? Now.. there was a Huge loss of life during its demolition, okies that was done, that's the past, but do we really need to be stubborn again and claim that piece of land for a Temple at the cost of Human lives ??
If you guys have studied the teachings of Shri Ram, ask yourself one question, would he have praised you after you guys built a Temple for him at the cost of innocent Human lives ?? Can he(God - Ram) ask people to build a Temple for him even if it comes at the cost of innocent Human life ??
If yes, then go ahead, i really really feel sad and care a damn for such people who don't respect Human life. As simple as that, this all is being done for the sake of false ego.
Argument 3:
We say: For you ram might be ego,for us it is symbol of our nationalism against Barbaric invaders like Muslims Mughals.
They say: Nopes, killing people for false pride is EGO for me. Or doing things for false pride which would result is loss of human life is useless ego for me. Shri Ram is NOT..
Please help me in refuting these arguments of sickulars.

It was nice to read your version on my comments. However all these are conjectures only. It is finally fate that has decided everything if we see philosophically.But the fact remains that the nexus of Nehru,MKG, Prasad, Maulana, ( The guy who had no guts to reveal truth in his lifetime) Azad, Rajaji and many stooges did greatest damage to this nation that has become irreparable. Although some solace is being taken under the formation of RSS it also became a mirage.

I may not subscribe to your vews fully. If Patel became the first PM, he would have probably discilpined Nehru and put him in his place.If required he wouldhave the home port folio with himself. krishna menon would have been shown the door. You also stated that inspite of Nehrus opposition, he got Hyderabad invaded and terminated the rule of Nizam 7. As home minister he was at lower position when Kashmir issue took place.If Patel became PM, he would have sorted out Kashmir then and there.Jamnagar under any case would have come to India after plebiste. He would have without inhibition over run Hyderabad and saved honor of many women in stead of delaying the issue. The prolonged delay on behalf of the union resulted in more rapes and murders in the state committed by Razakars. Nizam at the behest of Kasim Razvi in fact imported many Arabs and Pathans to assist Razakars to spread anarchy and terror in the state.Patel would have overcome the problems much more easily even if Nehru differed. As stated chinese debacle would have been avoided.On the whole, we are unlucky that he did not become PM and did not live long. Patels opponents and critics would have celebrated his death behind curtains while shedding crocodile tears at the homage paying ceremonies. They would have sipped foreign whisky , down the throats munching chicken kababs in hush hush and giggling.shame on those characters and traitors.

YOUR REJOINDER IS INTERESTING, BUT THE FACT IS THAT IF NEHRU HAD BEEN JUST A MINISTER, NEHRU & Co.WOULD NOT HAVE ALLOWED PATEL TO WORK AT ALL !! SARDAR PATEL MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ACHIEVE EVEN WHAT HE DID !! IT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE STORY OF MORARJI DESAI ON ONE SIDE AND CHARAN SINGH + RAJ NARAYAN ON THE OTHER, CONSTANTLY PULLING ONE ANOTHER. NOBODY WAS IN A POSITION TO DISCIPLINE NEHRU EXCEPT EDWINA MOUNTBATTEN !! IT IS A FACT. JUST TAKE IT LIKE THAT. TRANSFER OF POWER AGREEMENT WAS ALSO A PRODUCT OF THIS 'HOLY' NEXUS, ESSENTIALLY A BED-ROOM PRODUCT. KRISHNA MENON WAS A SERPENT WHO WOULD HAVE BEEN BITING SARDAR PATEL FROM ALL SIDES HAD HE BEEN SHOWN THE DOOR BY SARDAR PATEL AS PM.
