TO RENAME INDIA AS HINDUSTAN

Sir,

I am giving this mail for your favourable consideration. we got independence in 1947 and still we are calling the name of our country as INDIA. we are having rich cultureand tradition. still we are following the britisher's rule. I strongly feel that our country be renamed as ""HINDUSTAN"". we are having rich culture and we cannot forgot our manu smriti, charaka and susrutha who had done great researches in particular fields. we the hindus are having very rich culture and tradition. Sir, please consider my mail and give me support to rename our mother land as "HINDUSTAN". I don't want to hurt the feelings of any particular religion or person by this mail.

Seen from abroad (I’m a European living in Europe), India is indeed the homeland of the Hindus, the cradle of Hinduism. Therefore, it would be logical to rename the country Hindustan as this name will better reflect the historic, cultural and religious , character of this marvelous country. Stressing the Hindu character of Hindustan is in no way discriminating to non Hindus living there. Indeed, Hindus are very respectful of other faiths and thanks to their open mind & tolerance; they are the best thinkable people to live with. Hindustan, with a pacified Hindu society, will surely be a nice place to live in for both the Hindus and the Hindu well wishers (I am one of them).
