Resolution- 4

End Minority-Majority Divide for the Sake of National Unity

The ABPS regrets to note that the politics of minorityism has acquired dubious dimensions under the present dispensation at the Centre bringing back the sordid memories of the competitive minorityism witnessed in the pre-Partition era. Year after year this appeasement of certain religious communities is on the rise leading to serious communal polarisation in the country.

CMS Media Lab Review of TV News Channels in 2007

A rise in comedy and reality shows; the emergence and establishment of trivia in news; and most significantly, the end of political news dominance; this is the face of the news channels today.
Increased competition has unwittingly led to creation/manufacture or fabrication of news’, the fake “Live India Sting Operation” being an example. Such instances have once again raised the question of media regulation and their need for self-regulation.

Resolution -3

Border Security in Danger

The Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha wishes to draw the attention of the entire nation towards the porous nature of our borders and the concomitant threat looming from all sides. Of particularly serious concern is the situation along the Himalayas, which were once believed to be an insurmountable natural boundary. With large tracts including Aksai-chin in Laddakh and Kailash Mansarover, already under its occupation after it became our neighbour following its annexation of Tibet in 1959, China started making fresh claims over many more areas like Arunachal Pradesh making the border question a much more serious one calling for urgent attention.

DU BA(Hons.) text says Ramayana fallacious: Organiser

Author even sorts out a tale from Santhal folklore and puts forth the greatest outrage to Hindu psyche before the students of literature that Ravan as well as Lakshman both seduced Sita. No one on Earth so far dared to question the character of Sita so brazenly as Shri Ramanunjan has done, though, all through under the convenient cover of a folklore!
