Hate Modi Industry Still Unrelenting : Aditya Pradhan

The question of evidence against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi to prove his alleged complicity in the communal riots soon after the Godhra carnage has been non-existent. That is the singular point on which the rational and independent observers around the country had sought to exonerate the hugely popular Chief Minister all these years. Today, when the Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the Supreme Court has reiterated that in its closure report saner voices have started to emerge in both the political and legal circles. If one discounts the news channels and newspapers with their stated political agenda against BJP, and Narendra Modi in particular, it would become abundantly clear why the Chief Minister had played an exemplary role during the riots and had performed his Raj Dharma like no other leader of state in Independent India.

The Criminalization of Indian Society by M.V. Kamath

$img_titleWhat is shocking about the charge made by Army Commander-in-Chief Gen. VK Singh against a retired Lt. General who offered him Rs 14 crore bribe for sanctioning purchase of 600 sub-standard military vehicles is not so much the offer per se but the latter’s cutting edge remark that “other people had taken money before and they will take money after” the C-in-C demitting his office. The implication is that corruption has long been endemic in top Army circles and the same would continue in the future. That a retired officer had the gumption and impertinence to make such a remark in front of a C-in-C shows the utter lack of fear among top purveyors of corruption that carries its own message.

Give Five years for Modi by KSR Menon

It is given that if Modi sweeps the coming Gujarat elections, he would have left other contenders in the party far behind. Conversely, if he is projected as BJP’s candidate for Prime Minister right now, it may help him no end in scoring another resounding win in the Gujarat Assembly elections.
