Cong struggles to catch up as BJP rallies Sangh for relief operations- Hiral Dave

Far more organised, the BJP and the cadre-based Sangh outfits were
quick to reach the blast victims soon after the blasts tore up East
Ahmedabad on Saturday, while the Congress was trying to get its act
together.

Be it shifting the injured from blasts sites to hospitals,
organising blood donors, logistical support or arranging funerals, the
BJP ensured its men were present with the affected families. From booth
workers to top leaders, all its 12 cells were pressed into action by
the party. Four BJP workers including an AMC ward president who rushed
to Civil Hospital to help the injured were also injured in the twin
blasts at the Civil Hospital’s Trauma Centre. More than 6,400
booths-in-charge had fanned out in the blast-affected areas to be with
the victims’ families. The Congress, on the other hand, seemingly had
only a couple of senior leaders with some grassroot-level workers in
tow to make its presence felt.

Minutes after the first couple of blasts were reported, the BJP
sent more than 6,000 SMSs. The SMS read: Reach your nearest hospital.
Donate blood for serial blasts victims. “We have a control room at
state headquarters at Khanpur. With a computer and couple of cell
phones, the BJP is equipped to send thousands of SMSs in no time,” said
Jagdish Patel, the BJP Ahmedabad president. As SMSs were taking time in
getting delivered due to network congestion, the blood donation camp
organised by the BJP youth wing a day before the blast, proved helpful.
“We could immediately donate 231 bottles collected at the camp
organised at Naranpura to various hospitals,” Patel added.

The Congress volunteers too rushed to hospitals to donate blood
when informed by party leaders, but few Congressmen were seen at blast
sites and affected neighbourhoods. “The Congress volunteers donated
blood at both Civil and L G Hospital,” said Congress spokesperson
Jayantilal Parmar.

Pradeepsinh Jadeja, BJP MLA from Asarva, under which the
Naroda blast site falls, stayed at Civil Hospital with volunteers
during the crucial hours after the blasts. Jadeja was present at the
Civil Hospital even when the twin blasts occurred. Four BJP volunteers
accompanying Jadeja, including Pradeep Parmar (President, Asarva ward),
Raman Mali, Gulab Chauhan and councilor Raman Patni received injuries
in the twin blasts at the government hospital. When the Congress
announced Rs 1-lakh relief each for the dead on Sunday, the BJP sent
volunteers to physically help affected families in conducting last
rites.

Congress manipulating electoral rolls Over 10 lakh bogus voters surface in Delhi all of a sudden By Pramod Kumar

A Head of the Assembly elections in Delhi, likely to be held in
November this year, some politicians are leaving no stone unturned to
ensure their victory, albeit through foul means. Though, with the
changing time and technology it has almost become impossible to capture
the booth or adopt other illegal means during the polling, some of the
politicians are burning the midnight oil to find loopholes in the
existing system. It came to light with the sudden surface of over 10
lakh bogus voters requesting inclusion of their names in the voters
list. Surprisingly, these 10 lakh voters surfaced only within last
three weeks of June.

The scam involving some politicians was unearthed by the
Election Commission itself. On the complaints of Chief Electoral
Officer Satinder Silas Bedi, Delhi Police registered 100 FIRs against
bogus voters and more cases are likely to be registered in coming days.

A total of 40 lakh additional names were added to the
electoral rolls in June this year. But the election officials became
suspicious of about 30 per cent of them during a month-long
door-to-door verification as part of the electoral roll preparation in
sync with new Assembly constituencies being re-drawn after the
de-limitation order. “The electoral roll reviewed in March had 1.2
crore people listed. Another 40 lakh were added after that. But when we
began to investigate, we found that around 10 lakh applications were
incomplete and did not have the requisite documents,” Smt. Bedi said.

According to the Election Commission, a large number of bogus
applications were received from Outer Delhi assembly constituencies
including Nangloi Jat, Madipur, Burari, Okhla, Samaypur Badli,
Sultanpur Majra, Kirari, Mundka, Gokalpuri and Patel Nagar. “The
investigating teams visited nearly 19,000 households in Patel Nagar in
West Delhi, and they could verify merely 19 people with correct
information,” Smt Bedi pointed out.

The overall verification process is still on with area
booth-level officers carrying out the door-to-door verification
process. The officers will tabulate the data by July 31. A draft
electoral list will be published on August 1. All clarifications and
objections could be filed by August 16. The final electoral roll will
be completed on September 15.

The names of these 10 lakh bogus voters have been included in
the voters lists on the basis of forged ration cards. The Food and
Civil Supplies Minister of Delhi, Harun Yusuf admitted at a press
conference that a total of 1,70,598 bogus ration cards have been issued
in Delhi. They include 11,256 under Antyodaya Yojna category, 17,364
under BPL category and 1,41,978 under APL category. According to
sources, the actual number of bogus ration cards in Delhi are over two
lakh. This is also a fact that over 95 per cent of the fair price shops
and kerosene depots in Delhi are owned by influential political people
close to the Congress party and these people played a key role in
making these bogus ration cards. The preliminary investigation by the
Food Department reveals that most of the fake ration cards have been
detected from Mangol Puri constituency represented by the PWD Minister
Rajkumar Chauhan.

While the Congress is still silent on the unearthing of the
scam, the BJP Delhi unit demanded removal of the names of all bogus
voters from the electoral rolls. Delhi BJP chief Dr Harsh Vardhan
alleged that the Congress is exerting pressure on the election office
to go slow on its inquiries into bogus voter ID forms. The BJP also
demanded that the interferences of Congress ministers, legislators,
councillors and other leaders in the work of the rectification of the
electoral rolls should be stopped immediately. Apart from deleting the
names of all bogus voters, the BJP also demanded to remove the names of
illegal Bangladeshi citizens who have enrolled themselves as voters.

“Congress has always resorted to dirty tricks of enrolling
bogus voters because it is well aware that its defeat is imminent. So
the Congress is adopting the tactics of enrolling bogus voters to avoid
the crushing defeat. Keeping in view this fact, the schedule for
Assembly elections should be announced only after a full enquiry into
the matter and rectifying the voters lists,” Dr Harsh Vardhan demanded.

SIVA TEMPLE -UNESCO Honours when UPA Denounces

a time Indian Government is pledged to destruct our Heritage sites for
the reason it will glorify Sanathana Dharma , UNESCO listed a Siva
Temple -Preah Vihear in Cambodia in their list of World Heritage site.

The
recognition received to Preah Vihear – A 11 th Century Hindu Temple is
also a reminder about the glory and reach of Hinduism in all South East
Asian countries.

Construction of the first temple on the site
began in the early 9th century; both then and in the following
centuries it was dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva in his manifestations
as the mountain gods Sikharesvara and Bhadresvara. The temple was
constructed during the reigns of the kings Suryavarman I (1002–1050)
and Suryavarman II (1113–1150).

An inscription found at the
temple provides a detailed account of Suryavarman II studying sacred
rituals, celebrating religious festivals and making gifts, including
white parasols, golden bowls and elephants, to his spiritual advisor,
the aged Brahman Divakarapandita. The Brahman himself took an interest
in the temple, according to the inscription, donating to it a golden
statue of a dancing Shiva.

Ankor Vat is another Cambodian
Hindu Temple noted for it’s architectural and artistic perfection, not
to mention its sheer size. The Temple Dedicated to Vishnu is build by
Surya Varman 11 in 12th century. The Temple walls are sculpted with
Hindu Epics of Mahabharatha and Ramayana.

Hinduism in
Southeast Asia influenced the former Champa civilization in southern
parts of Central Vietnam, Funan in Cambodia, the Khmer Empire in
Indochina, the Srivijayan kingdom on Sumatra, the Singhasari kingdom
and the Majapahit Empire based in Java, Bali, and the Philippine
archipelago. The civilization of India influenced the languages,
scripts, calendars, and artistic aspects of these peoples and nations.

Naxals now active in 22 states: report

The growing strength of Naxal groups has emboldened
them so much that they are harbouring ambitions of controlling more
than a third of India's territories in the next two years, a latest
intelligence report has said.

Basing its information on
literature and pamphlets seized by the security forces in anti-Naxal
operations, and also on interrogation of arrested guerillas, the
intelligence report says the Naxal groups are aiming to liberate and
control 35 per cent of India's land by the end of 2009, Home Ministry
sources said.

In a fresh assessment of the Naxalite movement in
the country, the report points out that ultra-Left groups having faith
in Maoist ideologies have spread their activities to as many as 22 out
of 28 states in the country, including states that were earlier not
known to have any Naxal links like Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand and
Gujarat. As many as 39 Left-wing extremist groups are currently
operating in the country with a combined membership of more than a
lakh. Not all of

them are violent though. CPI (Maoists) alone account for more than 90 per cent of violent incidents.

Though
separate outfits, most of these Naxalite groups have common modus
operandi, especially when it comes to dealing with Government and
security forces. They see police and security forces just as major
suppliers of weapons, the report, which was recently presented to the
Home Ministry, points out. Hence the high frequency of attacks on
police stations and security camps to loot firearms.

The security
forces seized a number of pamphlets and booklets that urged the members
to take up the cause of the local population and fight for them as
endearing themselves to the local population was extremely vital for
their own survival.

Identifying under-development as the primary
reason for the spread of Naxalism, the intelligence report also
documents factors which led to Chhattisgarh becoming the nerve-centre
of Naxal activities. The state lies low on a number of development
indices. Nearly 40 per cent of the population lives below poverty line,
infant mortality is as high as 86 per thousand, 68 per cent do not have
access to electricity and nearly half the population is devoid of
drinking water at home. No wonder then that Chhattisgarh has emerged as
the breeding ground for Naxal groups, the report says.

The report
recommends more powers and facilities for police forces, and better
coordination among security forces but goes on to say that military
efforts alone would not be able to succeed against Naxalites. It has to
be ably supplemented by developmental initiatives, it says.

Navjot Sidhu seeks apology from Pranab, officials

Amritsar, July 3 (IANS) Member of Parliament Navjot
Singh Sidhu Thursday asked Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee to seek
an apology from External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and initiate
breach of privilege proceedings against officials for ignoring him
during a function here last week.

In a letter to the Lok Sabha
speaker, Sidhu pointed out that the minister and the Ministry of
External Affairs (MEA) officials committed a blatant breach of protocol
by not allowing him to address the minister or even join the minister
and other dignitaries on the dais during the inauguration of a new
regional passport office here.

The passport office was inaugurated Saturday by Mukherjee in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.

While
Mukherjee, Badal and others sat on the dais, Sidhu was made to sit
among the audience. He is the sitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)
member of the Lok Sabha from Amritsar.

'The treatment meted out
to me as a public representative and collective voice of over 1.5
million people of Amritsar Lok Sabha constituency is outrageously
insulting and denigrating,' Sidhu said in his strongly worded complaint.

He
lodged a strong protest against the conduct of ministry officials who,
he claimed, lowered the stature of an MP by excluding him from
discharging his role.

Sidhu demanded breach of privilege proceedings against the MEA officials and an unconditional apology from the minister.

The former cricketer turned MP said he had worked hard to get the passport office sanctioned for Amritsar.

PDP works hand in glove with terrorists: Ex-governor

Lt Gen (retd) S K Sinha, till recently Governor of Jammu and Kashmir [Images],
on Thursday launched a frontal attack on the state's main political
parties, especially PDP and its patron Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, accusing
him of being "hand in glove" with separatists and fundamentalists.

At the centre of controversy over the land for Amarnath yatra which paralysed the valley in recent days, Sinha denounced PDP as "anti-national".

Sinha,
who laid down office eight days ago, minced no words in admitting that
his relation with Sayeed, who was the state's Chief Minister between
2002 to 2005, had been "very bad from the very beginning".

Disclosing
that he was writing a book throwing light on his eventful tenure, Sinha
said that Sayeed played the "most sinister role in reviving communalism
in the valley" using the ploy of transfer of 100 acres of land in the
valley which was

to be used to provide facility for Amarnath pilgrims.

Two
of the PDP ministers in the cabinet -- Qazi Afzal (forest) and Muzzafar
Hussain Beigh (law) -- were involved in the decision to direct this
forest land at Baltal but Sayeed had used the issue to "promote his
agenda", he said.

"He (Sayeed) wanted to take electoral advantage
of the developing situation but I think it has rebounded on him. The
people have found out the duplicity of his party," he said.

82-year-old
Sinha, who earlier had an equally controversial term as Governor in
Assam before coming to Jammu and Kashmir, also did not spare the Centre
and charged the Congress high command with undermining its own party
Chief Minister Ghulam [Images] Nabi Azad.

"The
PDP has performed a very anti-national role in Kashmir and the pity is
that PDP, for all these years, has been enjoying patronage of Delhi to
the extent that Congress High Command has even undermined the position
of its own party's Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad," the former
Governor said.

Sinha said that he had been informing the Centre
about the activities of Sayeed from time to time but the "Centre goes
ahead by keeping it with the government for long."

He denied that
he had put any pressure on the state government for the transfer of
land and said that the proposal was lying with it for last three years.

This was a propoganda that had been circulated by the anti-national and secessionists and as well as PDP.

"On
the one hand sanctioning the diversion of forest land at Baltal through
its two minister" and on the other they flare up the communal tensions,
he said.

"They (PDP) were trying to hunt with the hound and run
with the hare. Their duplicity stands exposed and their effigies have
been burnt in the streets of Srinagar [Images] by Kashmir mobs," he said.

Sinha
regretted the revocation of the order and termed it a "policy of
appeasement and total surrender" followed by the state government and
done with "total lack of grace".

"What was worse, to appease the
fundamentalists...they (state) have virtually wound up the Amarnath
Shrine Board," he said, adding this move has had very serious reactions
in Jammu and elsewhere in the country.

Cong surrendered to communal forces: BJP

NEW DELHI: Whipping up the controversy
over land transfer to the Amranath Shrine Board as one of its key Hindutva
campaign planks for the coming Lok Sabha polls, Opposition BJP has called a
nationwide bandh on Thursday to protest against the Congress-led government's
"surrender to communal forces" in Jammu and Kashmir. It has demanded restoration
of the land to the shrine board.

With the entire Sangh Parivar coming
together in support of the issue to use it against ruling Congress — at
the Centre and in Srinagar — senior BJP leaders met on Tuesday and drew up
a resolution to spin it into a larger poll issue.

Calling the J&K
government's decision to revoke allotment of the land to the Amarnath Shrine
Board for development of facilities to pilgrims "a complete surrender to
fundamentalist and separatist forces", BJP accused Congress of demonstrated that
"it is one with fundamentalists in creating a theocratic environment in the
Kashmir Valley".

Picking up the issue in Bhopal and launching a sharp
attack on Congress, BJP's prime ministerial candidate L K Advani on Tuesday said
that the contrast between the two coalition governments that Congress leads
— at the Centre and in Srinagar — exposes the fact that it has no
commitment to its electorate.

Congress has ignored its Left allies at
the Centre and decided to go ahead with the nuclear deal with US, Advani said,
despite warnings for two years that the Left will have to pull out if UPA goes
for the deal, and has created instability at the Centre.

The same party,
Advani pointed out, succumbed to PDP’s threat of pulling out of a
government in Srinagar, whose tenure gets over in the next four months. The PM
said that he had assured American president George Bush on the deal, Advani
pointed out, asking the PM in the context on whether he had any concern about
his assurance to the nation to provide a stable government for its full term,
and also whether he believed in any assurance towards the Amarnath
yatra.

Adding another Hindutva element to the poll campaign, Advani
committed that NDA will include in its poll manifesto, expanding of religious
tourism in the country.

all India about the vicious plan of the J&K Govt hand in hand with
the Union Govt, VHP International President Ashok Singhal and General
Secretary Dr Pravin Togadia said,” To revoke Amarnath Land is only the
tip of the iceberg. The real game-plan is to declare all Hindu
pilgrimage places in India as either Jungle, mountain, sea or river places & STOP HINDU PILGRIMAGE ALL OVER INDIA.”

Drawing
comparison, Dr Togadia pointed out, ”They are doing same with the
Rameshwaram Ramsetu, did same when Archaeology department prevented
Hindus from worshipping ancient Navagrahas in Konark Sun temple &
there are many more such experiences. Once they get away with AmarnathLand
revocation, then they will even claim that Sabarimala in Kerala,
Swamimalai in TN, Vindhyavasini in U.P., Tirupati Balaji on Tirumala,
Ashtavinayaks in Maharashtra, Jtyotirlingams are in jungles, on mountains, near sea, near river…so these lands revoked.

This is a serious anti-Hindu game-plan. They did the same in Malaysia, Jordan,
Indonesia etc. Hindus need to wake up against this Jehad before it is
too late otherwise these anti-Hindu forces will not leave any Hindu
place of worship”.

VHP demanded:

At no cost Amarnath Yaatra will ever be allowed to be stopped or pilgrims affected.

We will NOT STOP until the AmarnathLand
is given back to Amarnath Shrines Board. BHAGVAN SHIV AMARNATH CAME
FIRST IN THAT JUNGLE WHEN THERE WERE NO BRITISH LAWS ABOUT JUNGLES

All Hajj Houses must be taken back & converted into charity hospitals for the poor.

Haj
Subsidy must be cancelled. No flights for Haj to be sent wasting
precious fuel which costs have been increased by none other that these
Jehadis to hurt economies of the non-Muslim countries.

5.

No Namaz be allowed in India or on Indian streets. 4 speakers 5 times a day pollute much more.

6.

Article 370 must be immediately scrapped. All Indians have a fundamental right to travel & buy land anywhere in India including Jammu & Kashmir.

7.

Give Kashmir in the hands of the Army & hang all Jehadis who flashed Pakistan flags & shouted “We are Pakistani” slogans and anti-Amarnath slogans. This is sedition & treason.

All revenue from Masjids and Muslim institutions are handled by Muslim bodys only, hence they are not eligible for any Govt. fund for the pilgrimage. 2)Revenues from Most of the Major Shrines (Tirupati,Sabarimala, Guruvayoor Sri Krishna temple etc.) in India are going to Govt. Treassury, It is the responsibility of tthe Govt. to provide security, special facilities, and all kind of infrastructure facilities and subsidised transportation also for Hindu pilgrims. 3) Infact it is not the duty or responsibility of the Govt, to arrange Hajj pilgrimage. If any body wants to perform Haj, let them apply for Hajj visa and purchase tickets etc and go on their own responsibility and their on cost. Wasting money for keeping Haj houses, special terminals in airports, special officers at different locations, subsidy for air tickets, avoding proper inspection on luggages etc are 100% wrong especially by a SO CALLED SECULAR COUNTRY AND IT'S GOVT. ! All Hindus should realise the threat they are facing from Muslims, and different political parties now and should be united. Remember today's another statements on nuclear issue : Mayawati says Nuclear deal is "Anti Muslim" and it's reply b SP ! Actulally who is starting communalising each issue in India ? BJP or other parties ? They are not concerned about India or Indias security concerns ! They are worried about Muslims ! We should use this situation very well and with out fail we should unit every Hindu in India and get involved all foreign based Hindus also in our effort. Now even in the so called secular India hindus are not allowed to have temporary shelters for their pilgrimage in the muslim majority state of J&K. Islamic National Congress has meekly succumbed to the terrorising tactics of anti-national and anti-hindu fanatics. Almost all the hindus have been hounded out of Kashmir valley. Nobody makes even a wimper of protest. See the slaves of the foreign supported media who were and still are shouting from rooftops in the case of Gujarat riots which was in response to the roasting alive of 58 hindus in Sabarmati Train by jihadi elements. Their kind of secularism stands exposed naked. They are the paid agents of jihadis. Almost every Indian state has shown increase in minority population, especially muslims. No hindu protested. In Kshmir the hindu population decreased. Still they accuse about the plan to settle hindus in the valley. On the contrary the secular terrorists are hand in glove with Bangladeshi jehadi infiltrators who have already changed the population mix of several districts in W.Bengal, Assam and even in far flung states. They are being used to provide logistical support to terrorists. Still our so called secular bandwagon supports them and opposes their deportation. Secularism or any other ism will not be there when the Muslim population exceeeds 50% which you can observe from what is going on everywhere. See in Malayasia where Muslim population is only 60%. We have already given one third of our land to muslims on a platter at the time of partition. We have allowed them all facilties in India as equal citizens. It is time now to stop all special facilities given to them. They can be treated as just equal to any other citizens of India. Further increase in their population is a real threat to hindus and hinduism. All appeasement politics should be stopped. For that we have to throw out the Congress.

When you buy petrol the concerned ministry gets its share..Out of every paise you spend, the goverment takes its cut and re routes this money - your money- the price of your sweat- to subsidise the Haj pilgrimage , to the renewal of Madrassas , to the funding of Minority educational institutions. Every Rupee you save in the bank - a part of it goes to minority specific loans and to build infrastructure in Minority dominated areas....Whose money is it anyway ?..for whome do you pay taxes for ? Whose nation is it anyway ? Think about it..when you are squeezed by a petrol price hike , a part of the squeeze is to finance the minority instutions and interests...and then there are the bombs on your streets and buses.But then that is another story..

SIMI's next target: Goa

The Students Islamic
Movement of India, which had made Karnataka its base to conduct and
assist in terror acts across India, has decided to shifts its
operations to Goa [Images], it is learnt.

Intelligence Bureau sources said the recent regime change in Karnataka, with the Bharatiya Janata Party elected to power, has made the banned outfit shift out of the state.

Mohammad Asif [Images],
a SIMI operative who was arrested recently in Karnataka, revealed
during his narco analysis test that the outfit had decided to shift out
of the state if the BJP came to power. Joining the dots based on the
confessions by various suspected militants, the IB has come to the
conclusion that Goa would be the next hub for SIMI.

Riazuddin
Nasir, another SIMI operative arrested in Karnataka, had also confessed
that Goa was on their agenda and the outlawed organisation had planned
to carry out a series of attacks in the tourist state.

An IB official told rediff.com
that communication intercepts also revealed that SIMI was now setting
up base in Goa. This IB official said at least 60 per cent of SIMI's
operations have already been shifted to Goa.

According to the IB,
the motive behind moving to Goa was twofold. First, an attack on Goa
would get SIMI worldwide attention thanks to the foreign tourist
presence there. Second, security in Goa is not up to the mark lest it
act as a deterrent for tourism which is one of the state's primary
sources of income.

A senior police officer in Goa told rediff.com that SIMI was in constant touch with certain Naxalite outfits and had sought their help in setting up base there.

A
police officer in Karnataka said this move does not mean that their job
will become easier. SIMI's plans to carry out attacks in Karnataka are
still on, and they need to keep a constant watch on its movements, he
added.

In Goa SIMI plans to conduct training programmes for its
cadres, launch recruitment drives and, over a period of time, smuggle
in arms and ammunition as was being done in Andhra Pradesh, Uttar
Pradesh, and Karnataka.

Last week, Manohar Parrikar [Images],
leader of the Opposition in the Goa assembly anf former chief minister,
said the state may become unsafe if the government did not act quickly
against SIMI.

Inflation
in India breached the 11 per cent mark , the highest in 14-odd years,
despite the growth rate tweaking to 9 per cent. This comes close on the
heels of rising fuel and food prices. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and
Finance Minister P Chidambaram continue to assure the people that they
can rein in inflation. That Chidambaram's assurance is couched over his
worry can be seen when he says "double digit inflation would be there
for some more weeks and the Government as well as RBI would not
hesitate to take more steps to rein in soaring prices, if need arises.”
It is confusion worse confounded for the common man when he hears the
government announcing the fuel price hike, in addition to the rising
cost of essential commodities.
