Gujarat RSS’s new chiefh Pranth  Sanghachalak , Dr Jayanti Bhadesia, has taken over from Dr Amrut Kadiwala as the head of the state unit of the Sangh. Dr Bhadesia is a surgeon and is perhaps the youngest chief of Gujarat RSS. He is tech-savvy and has three blogs. In an interview to DNA, Dr Bhadesia talked about his plans to take the work of the RSS further in Gujarat.

Anna Hazare’s Agitation at its Logical End

Anna Hazare agitation for Lokpal and the ensuing indelicate fast appears to reach at its logical end. After a daylong debate, both the houses of Parliament have evolved a consensus on all the three points raised by Anna. A resolution is that effect is in the process of getting unanimous nod from both the houses.

हजारे के अनशन का 11वां दिनEarlier, the Parliament experienced a serious daylong debate. The leader from almost all the Political parties reiterated their faith in the supremacy of the Parliament. The debate was initiated by the leader of the opposition Sushma Swaraj with for beautifully articulated speech and concluded by senior minister Pranab Mukhergee.  The proceeding of the debate is to be submitted to the standing committee for consideration.

 

Bajrang Dal Units to Come Up in One Lakh Indian Villages

 

Organizational units in one lakh Indian villages are to be set by the Bajrang Dal. A National meeting was convened at Vadodara on July 9, where the decision was taken. Swami Chetananand Maharaj inaugurated the meeting. Dr. Shri. Pravin Togadia, VHP General Secretary, Subhash Chauhan, National Convener, BD were also at the dais. West Bengal announces reservation for Muslims in govt jobs

KOLKATA: On a day when the Andhra Pradesh High Court struck down job reservation for Muslims, the West Bengal government on Monday announced 10 per cent quota in employment for the community under the OBC category.

The state government declared the quota for the Muslims who were educationally, socially and economically backward in the state.

"We have decided to accept the recommendations of the Ranganath Mishra Commission and will take steps to implement it," chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee told newsmen at the state secretariat without waiting for the Centre's decision on the report.

He said like other states there was reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs in the state. The government, he said, had begun the process of identifying Muslims who were educationally, socially and economically backward. There was 7 per cent reservation for OBCs in the state.
