Temple Damaged in Noida, FIR Against Jaypee Group Officials
Noida (UP), January 30: A temple was allegedly damaged in Nangla Nangli village here by some Jaypee group officers following which an FIR has been registered against the company's Managing Director and others, police said today.
Vijay Chauhan, a resident of Nangla Nangli village, had lodged an FIR against the Jaypee group officials alleging that on Friday night they held the priest captive and demolished trees and a five-decade-old temple structure.
The FIR has been registered against Sameer Gaur (MD and CEO), Ashok, Dilbagh Singh and Mangal Singh, besides some other unnamed persons. The Jaypee group officials were not available for comment. However, an official had earlier claimed that farmers had encroached upon their land.
"We have asked the Jaypee officials to submit documents showing the land belonged to them," a police officer said.
